Four stars are for service received under challenging high traffic conditions in approximately 16’ X 60’ space. Despite architectural limitation the place is well staffed and they go about the business of meeting the challenge well and in good spirits. It is clearly a hit-and-run place. During peak traffic there is an order expediter on the customer side of the counter at counter end near the door helping get online orders in the hands of that traffic so they can get out fast reducing congestion with customers further down the line ordering at the cash register coming forward. Only five 2 top tables on periphery of pick up area near the door.
There is reasonable size seating area to left in back across from the restrooms but you aren’t aware of it unless you use the restrooms. Walls, floor tile and furnishings are dull. It is not a hang out spot. But there is an abundance of parking spaces available unlike the attractive ambiance of the Dunn Loring Metro Starbucks a mile or so away.
I come here early in the morning only. Often here at 5:00 AM open but rarely after 6:00 AM when morning traffic begins to build during the week. I like to get twice toasted bagel with butter and coffee and enjoy at one of the 2 top tables in front of the store. If you ask order taker to twice toast they will. One heating time cycle is not enough to caramelize and also one heating cycle does not warm bagel enough to melt butter. All Starbucks in my experience serve cold butter directly from refrigerator. Much better flavor to my taste twice toasted and sufficient temperature to melt their...
Read moreTOO LOUD! I come to this Starbucks to get work done almost every day. Baristas are good and get my orders right almost every time. One time they had regular milk instead of oat milk but they gave me a new one upon asking. Very spacious and clean desks and seating areas. The reason I didn't put 5 stars is because of the unreasonably LOUD music. Every single day... The music is not only loud but also really bad. They put on club music sometimes and I don't understand how they haven't gotten the hint that customers don't enjoy it. I've witnessed several times customers get annoyed and ask them to turn it down. They lower it, but it's still pretty loud. One customer went back the second time to request it be lowered more so they turned it off completely. I've heard from people that baristas don't understand how loud it is because they're far away from the speakers while customers are literally right next to it. Please, Starbucks, don't drive yours customers out of your store due to this minor factor. The music you play should ADD to the overall atmosphere, not take away from it. I love coming here and will keep coming but I get irritated every time I can't even block the noise with my headphones. It's a...
Read moreI had an extremely disappointing experience at this Starbucks today. After putting our dog to sleep at the vet nearby, my husband and I decided to walk to the store (to get some fresh air) and placed a mobile order for in-store pickup. When we arrived, the drinks were ready, but the food was not. I waited patiently at the counter until a barista (a young woman who was handling the register and drive-thru orders) told me she’d be with me shortly. When she came over, I asked about the food, and she informed me they were out of the baguettes. I confirmed the order with my husband and turned back to her, and she responded with a rude, sarcastic comment saying, ‘If you would have ordered with me at the register, you would have known we’re out.’ She then asked, ‘So do you want something else or not?’ when I mentioned that we had just lost our dog. Her lack of empathy and unprofessional attitude were shocking, especially considering the location next to a children’s hospital and emergency vet. I was made to feel bad for using the app, and this entire interaction left me upset. I won’t be returning to...
