Went here based off a recommendation from a few friends. Drove from King George area. Honestly, the food was pretty average, if anything somewhat tasteless. We tried a variety of dishes to have a more extensive review: Chicken and a waffles, Nashville Chicken Sandwich, Regular Chicken Sandwich, the Chicken bucket with an assortment of thighs, breast, tenders and wings, cream spinach, Mac n cheese, banana pudding and cheesecake. The Nashville chicken sandwich was a disgrace to Nashville. No spice to it, no kick or flavor and seemed like they gipped us on sauce. We basically ordered two plain chicken sandwiches. The chicken and waffles were decent but didn’t even come with any smear. The waffle could’ve been equated to a hotel waffle and was hard after it got cold. The chicken bucket was probably the best thing because the chicken was fresh, extremely juicy, but to me lacked seasoning. It didn’t have an identity in terms of flavor, just properly cooked fried chicken. I would go as far as saying Publix and Royal Farms chicken has better flavor. The best thing that I would recommend about this place that to me stands as an iconic menu item is the banana pudding. It was smooth, flavorful, and did not have a nasty artificial banana aftertaste. The cheesecake was also good. Customer service was terrible. The girl at the front counter seemed uninterested and they kept forgetting multiple items we ordered like the Mac n cheese and cream spinach. I overheard one of her co-workers tell her in Spanish that the standard large order of Mac n cheese comes with two trays, and she responded saying that she had forgot to do that for multiple orders. Staff seems unproven. Might as well go to Hot Chikn Kitchn (has more sauce options for chicken) or Metro Diner (have better chicken and waffles with smear).

I want to start with how bad the service was. The girl who took our order had a attitude problem and that was just the beginning. We had a big order and I tipped a little extra due to that fact. We waited over 30 mins until we had to ask about our order. Then our order was made and put together. Two orders were left out and the size portion of the Mac and cheese was wrong. Apparently that same girl was giving out the wrong size her whole shift. Service wasn’t great. Food was ok. Nothing special honestly. If your in the area I would check it out but I wouldn’t go out my way. Location was clean with plenty of parking. Price was fair in my opinion. Our order: Classic chicken sandwich 3/5, no flavor Nashville chicken sandwich 1/5, no spice French Fries 1/5, cold and soggy Fried thighs 3/5, crispy and juicy but no flavor Tenders 3/5, crispy and juicy but no flavor Wings 3/5 same problem as the thighs/tenders Mac & cheese 4/5, could use some breading Creamed spinach 3/5, it was ok Cornbread 3/5, cold but probably good warm Mash potatoes 4/5, pretty tasty Waffle 1/5, hard and cold. Syrup was awful Banana pudding 5/5, best item Cheesecake 4/5, second best item Half and half drink 5/5, delicious

I had a hankering for southern style fried chicken and a friend recommended Uncle C's to me. Best part - it's halal! The place is clean and well maintained inside and it was busy at 9 on a Saturday night. The staff are friendly although service can be a bit slow. There's a wait after you order but the plus side is your food is hot and fresh. I ordered a 3 piece chicken and waffle - you get to choose your pieces and with two thighs and a tender, it's honestly enough to share between two people. I also ordered the mac and cheese. The mac and cheese was amazing - cheesy and delicious. The waffle was so good, fluffy and very lightly sweet and served with breakfast syrup on the side (since I took it home I used maple and it was excellent). The chicken was crisp and hot but I had to knock a star down because it was salty. First bite you're like ok this is a lil salty - midway you can no longer eat it and have to pull off all the skin (which is the best part!). It's a good bang for your buck and maybe they had an off day - I'll have to give them another chance.

UPDATED REVIEW BELOW Finally a new food joint that’s not pizza or subs !! I ordered the Nashville chicken sandwich combo, the sandwich was great and the half/half tea was amazing! My only complaint was the wait and the disorganized order pick up system. They were asking folks to wait outside and then come back in 10-15 minutes. I did exactly that and there were people already at the counter asking about their order. I was hoping for my name to be called but I had to ask about my order after the crowd had dispersed. I will give this place another shot in the future !! 3/23 - I was not aware that my first visit was on opening day so now I understand why it was hectic that day. I made another visit and ordered the Nashville Chicken Sandwich again , It came with different fries this time , the sandwich was still good though. I also ordered the chicken and waffle combo. My wait time was about 15 minutes. I'm happy to have a new lunch spot !!

The chicken is flavorful & juicy. The cornbread is a winner for sure. The waffle is great, they should use real maple syrup. Not the cheap breakfast syrup that's sugar & corn syrup. The fries were fries, tasty but could be crisper. Yams were ok, a bit earthy to me. My friend liked there banana pudding & the mac & cheese although good could've used some bread crumbs to cut through the chessyness of it all. The sweat tea was definitely too sweet, good but its alot so definitely drink some water with it. Half & half was good for my friend. Overall I will come back and try more on the strength of the deliciousness of the food, friendliness of the staff, atmosphere is just fine & clean which was great to have at a busy location. You go in enjoy your meal and leave stuffed needing a nap.

The fried chicken here is great. I've frequented this place 4 times in the last few weeks. I removed a star because the customer service could be much better and some of the food workers don't wear their mask on their face. Excusing a pandemic, I personally believe all food workers should wear hair nets and face masks when handling the publics' food. Also, my last order had very dry room temp wings. It was very disappointing. I will try again, but will not return if I have the last experience as last time. ****Updated review.**** So, I'm done with this place. The last 2 visits resulted in issues. I ordered Mac n cheese yams, they gave me 2 Mac n cheese. I don't even eat cheese. Only 1 person in my house does. It sucks to keep going and spending $50-66 each trip to have issues.
