Veranda Café — Restaurant in Virginia

Fair vegan breakfast available I was traveling for work and got the breakfast buffet. I was meeting a co-worker and the buffet opened at 0630 and apparently when I showed up at 7:30am the place was PACKED and people were leaving. The place had 2 staff, one leisurely cleaning off tables, eventually. I bussed my own and after about 10 minutes got silverware and another 10 got some water and coffee. They had vegan hot oatmeal, whole apples, some cut up melon, and I asked and the potato slices were cooked in oil not butter so I was good...

They had what seemed to be only 1 server doing everything in a room with maybe about 15 tables. As a result, we stood waiting for about 10 min for a table, and then waited another 5-10 for a waitress to come to the table. After that, we gave up and went to Starbucks. I can't speak to the food, since we never ordered. If you have 2 hours to kill it would likely be fine, but if you want to have an hour lunch and need to get to appointments, look elsewhere. Don't waste your time. Its a Holiday Inn express breakfast for $32. Oh and the menu online showed $14 for breakfast buffett, got the bill and it was $32 each. They would not change it even when I showed the image...
