Zaxbys Chicken Fingers & Buffalo Wings — Restaurant in Virginia

I had no idea what Zaxby's was (except that they serve chicken) until I walked inside. From the exterior, it looks rustically elegant but I soon realized that it was simply a fast food restaurant. A great facade. I ordered the 10 wings, an order of cheese bites, and a soft drink. Not knowing their sauce strength scale yet, I went conservative and ordered "wimpy." The soda dispenser and area wasn't the cleanest but seemed like the employees were all busy filling drive thru orders. It wasn't as if there were employees just standing around doing nothing while the dining area needed cleaning so it wasn't a big deal. Food was ready in about 6 minutes, not bad considering there were 3 orders in front of me. Sat down and looked around. The tables and chairs were clean and there were about 4 other parties dining in. The cheese bites were hot and decent. Thank goodness I was able to get ranch with them instead of marinara sauce. The traditional wings were hot but in my opinion served with too much sauce. The "wimpy" sauce was just that, too wimpy. Tasted like ketchup with some pepper in it. If (and that's a big if) I ever go back, I will certainly kick it up a notch or two and not order the cheese bites. Although it's not on the menu, wings can be purchased in groups of 5. It is possible to just order 5 or order the 10 piece and a set of 5 if 10 isn't enough. The wings, although not as spicy as I would have liked, were decent size but for a dollar a wing, I felt that was a bit expensive especially when there are other places to get wings for less money. Also, the selection of flavors they offer is short...no garlic Parmesan, no jerk, no spicy garlic. In all, $17.00 for one person to eat dinner at a fast food place is really not something I care to spend on myself. I also noticed they had combo dinners but they are served with fries and toast and people should't consume that many carbs in one sitting. All in all, it didn't make my top ten favorite fast food restaurants to eat at and it would't bother me if I never go back there. It's just another place that serves wings and tenders, not really doing anything original or spectacular than the other wing places....

We came in first time tonight around 9pm.

First had to walk by an employee smoking. Not the most appetizing way to enter your restaurant. We parked over in the handicap parking. Then we had to try and dodge some kind of sticky crap on the floor. I unfortunately got some on my shoes and was sticking to the floor. We said something to someone at the counter about the floor. Someone took care immediately. We asked for some help with the menu but didn't really get much help. We order the 10 piece chicken fingers. Plus 10 piece boneless wings and a basket of fries. Order came out without the boneless wings. So while my husband is over waiting for the rest of the order the rest of the food is getting cold. Food wasn't that hot and the chicken was overdone. Especially the boneless wings. The chicken didnt look anything like pictures. It never does. It was hard to believe the large ranch dressing that you give with the wings because the celery couldn't have been more than an inch and a half. With only 2 1/2 pieces. No exaggeration. I wanted to send back the overdone wings but it was so late he let it go. But when we got in the truck the survey came up on my phone. So I felt I would send tjis to you.

Then we went to leave and use the facilities. I got as far as the men's room my husband went it but it was like a wading pool. I couldn't even go in and wished my husband hadnt gone in. Because he's had two knee replacements. I couldn't barely walk away with my walker and still without being able to get into the facilities.

Then we went out as we came in by another employee smoking by our truck. She was sitting on the curb right in front of our truck. She was on the phone I told her that we were starting the truck. She just stayed...
