Don't order a cake from the Cold Stone Creamery in Newport News, VA unless you want it to look very sloppy! I ordered a small Strawberry Passion cake 2 weeks ago and I requested that it be layered with yellow cake instead of red velvet cake. I went to pick it up today only to be extremely disappointed by its appearance. It looked like a blind 5-year-old slapped it together! It was lopsided with a dent on the side and it had unflattering cut lines on it. The manager on duty wasn't the least bit apologetic about how awful the cake looked. He just stood there staring at me as if I was a nuisance to him. Because he offered no solution to the problem, I decided to see what other cakes were available in the freezer case. There were a few Strawberry Passion cakes, but they were layered with red velvet cake. I clearly asked the manager if one of those cakes could be discounted because it wasn't what I really wanted, but I was still willing to patronize them. He said he could take 20% off and I thought that was fair. I immediately pulled a small cake out of the freezer case and he rang me up for the full price ($26.10). When I questioned the price he said he could only discount the ugly cake that I ordered and not the one from the freezer case. When I explained to him that I was highly annoyed for being inconvenienced by not getting the cake I ordered as shown on their website, he didn't seem to care. I decided to leave without a cake and take my business elsewhere. Shame on you for being so uncaring and unprofessional! I'll never buy anything from the Newport News...

I have placed an online order for some ready to pick up cupcakes at this location. That order was confirmed and paid for and they have three hours to have some ready to pick up cupcakes ready for me to pick up but, however when I arrived everyone looked around like they didn’t know what I was talking about and tried to direct me to another location like I messed up my order from somewhere else. So when I confirm the address of the location They still look around like they were stunned and didn’t know what I was talking about because they didn’t have my order ready. I ended up asking for a refund I got my money bag and I had to drive all the way to the Hampton location just to get what I was looking for.
