While the ambiance and service at Nori Nori Ramen are commendable, the culinary experience left something to be desired. Many of the dishes seemed reminiscent of what you might find at a restaurant supply store, raising questions about the freshness and authenticity of the ingredients. The flavors, particularly in the main courses, felt a tad generic, lacking the homemade touch that one might expect from a restaurant touting authentic fare.
The appetizers, although enjoyable, leaned heavily on mayonnaise, which overshadowed the core ingredients. A note to the chefs: consider revisiting the takoyaki and Karaage; the addition of lettuce didn't quite meld with the traditional flavors of these dishes. Also the worst part for me was the karaage being so sharp in its crisp ones it cut up the back of my gums like captain crunch cereal. Even now trying to eat something it’s a tad painful
Pricing, particularly for the ramen, feels a touch steep given the quality on offer. Additionally, the drink refill policy is a sore point. Competing establishments often provide discounts on subsequent refills, which not only feels more customer-friendly but also encourages diners to linger a bit longer and perhaps order more.
In summary, Nori Nori Ramen serves as a decent introduction for those unfamiliar with Asian cuisine, but for those seeking an authentic Japanese experience, it might fall a bit short. It's disheartening to see traditional recipes adjusted excessively to cater to Western tastes, losing some of their inherent charm in...
Read moreI went to Nori Nori Ramen with my family for dinner and will definitely be coming back again. I highly recommend this restaurant to anyone who likes ramen. Excellent food, and excellent service! Our server, Stephen, was very friendly and made sure the table we chose was clean. He brought menus, utensils, and napkins and left us with plenty of time to decide what we wanted to eat and drink. My husband ordered a coconut Ramune, and my son ordered a strawberry fruit tea with tapioca bubbles. They both enjoyed them very much! We also ordered the Cream Cheese Ragoon, and the Age Tofu appetizers. The Ragoon appetizer was crispy with cheese bubbling out of each corner. The Tofu appetizer had lightly fried tofu that was crispy on the outside and creamy on the inside, resting in a flavorful broth. We also ordered 3 different types of Ramen: Miso, Pork Katsu, and Grilled Chicken. Each one had a flavorful broth, tender ramen noodles, tasty vegetables, and a soft boiled egg. The braised pork belly (chashu) was tender and easy to chew, and was excellent with the pork and miso broth. The Pork Katsu was lightly breaded, crispy, and flavorful by itself, and didn’t get soggy when dipped in the pork broth. The grilled chicken was tender and tasty in the chicken broth. The chili oil that was provided allowed us to add as much or little spice to the broth, and did not overpower the flavor of the broth. There are many other types of ramen, in addition to stir fry and Donburi entrees. I look forward to trying something...

BUT I was surprised that as a family of 5 with one member being a child who didn’t even get an entree, we were notified at the END of our meal that gratuity is added to parties over 4 people. If that’s the policy, this should be posted so diners can have this information prior to ordering. I was in the food industry as a server for 10 years and always upfront about hidden costs. The issue wasn’t leaving a tip it was the principle about how it felt like it was snuck in and that was disappointing to receive at the end of such a lovely meal.
First experience review Upon entering, the doors were dingy (finger prints are a pet peeve but not a deal breaker). I went to the bathroom to wash my hands and the bathrooms were very clean.
Decor was minimal and a nice homage to anime.
Service was excellent (our waitress was down to earth, polite and professional).
Food was 🤤 the broth was good, the egg and chicken were delicious and I would recommend he chicken katsu.
Loved the chili sauce available on the table. Will definitely take another trip to this establishment.
Minor notes to the owner: A few little details like putting the wet floor signs by the door away, and hanging a curtain (spring rod) on the storage book case are small touches that will go a long way in making the place feel more organized...
