I tried this place out, my sisters loved it and wanted me to go check it out, too.
For the banh mi the bread was great, it tastes fresh and itâs toasted well (even though I prefer it a little crunchier.) All ingredients tasted fresh and meat was juicy. I wish it had a little bit more of meat and veggies.
The beef skewers were good and came with a cool green cilantro sauce. The rice is plain steamed white rice (not sticky rice).
The fried pork balls have a sweet sauce on top and they give you a side of it as well, that was a little dry but it was okay.
I didnât show pictures of the drinks we had but we had regular milk tea and two fruit teas that were delicious!! I also forgot to picture an ube cheesecake bite and that was so good, too! I want to come back and try the salad they have.
I was hesitant to buy here because it was about $10 for a sandwich and $8 for a salad BUT I know prices are going up and these ingredients are so fresh I want to say itâs worth it.
I wasnât too impressed with the prepackaged stuff in the warmer on the counter but I was impressed with the food and drinks made.
I will be...
Read moreBanh mi wasnât that great. I bought 2 to compare as there werenât that many options. Grilled beef and grilled chicken with chicken liver pĂątĂ©. The grilled meat itself tastes good, but the flavor profile clashes with the chicken liver pĂątĂ©. It doesnât go well, as though the pate wasnât blended correctly. Thereâs also a lack of veggies to balance out all that meat. It does come with the Vietnamese mayo that most banh mi shops do not include around here, but overall taste just doesnât seem right. As for the bread, I canât even tell what kind of bread it is. Itâs not the same baguette thatâs normally served for banh mi and it tastes a bit sour. For a restaurant called âBanh-tasticâ, I expect them to perfect their banh mi before offering other dishes. Feels more like a pho restaurant that offers banh mi instead. Probably not coming here again unless I have no choice as they do offer the Vietnamese mayo. They also accept EBT which is new...
Read moreI have been coming here for several months. The service is really great. They are very friendly and they always remember me and the food that I like. I am really particular and I have a lot of food allergies and they always answer my questions and make whatever accommodations they can. Though Iâve had to stop drinking caffeine, their Thai tea is the best Iâve ever had and I wish I could continue drinking it, but they have other really great drinks like this fruit soda. I also really recommend the shrimp Thai basil. This sandwich is the traditional banh mi, but with accommodations made for my food allergies and preferences. I usually call ahead of time and pick up my order, but I have dined in, and I was told that they are on Grubhub for placing orders. I havenât tried the pho yet, but I intend to when the weather...
