Chinese Kitchen Visalia — Restaurant in Visalia

I have been coming here for years and was sad to hear that the restaurant was being sold to another family. Of course I had to come in and give it a try and compare the original Chinese Kitchen to the new Chinese Kitchen. Let me just say that the food was excellent. I ordered chow mein, fried rice, orange chicken and even got to try some of the salt and pepper fish. I did not regret ordering it. The food was fresh, had a lot of flavor, was very reasonable in pricing and was authentic. Best of all is that they give you good sized portions. Hands down one of the best Chinese restaurants around. The new owners "Kit" and "Kan" were super friendly and very hospitable. Also their staff is great. I got to meet Jeni one of the waitresses there, and she is super friendly and very attentive. If you want consistency as for your service & good food, Chinese Kitchen is definitely one to be on your list. they may not be the best tasting Chinese food in all offered dishes but they are high on the list. they have good prices for combo meals & individual plates & are excellent & fast serving. One thing they do have that is best in all of Visalia is their asparagus with shrimp & black bean sauce & their house chowmein. I love it when the owners mingle with the customers as they do here. Also of great importance to me is they at request will make your dishes with NO MSG which is so awesome. they are also very reasonably priced. The husband and wife team makes sure their restaurant is a place you want to keep coming back to. The wife takes care of the restaurant seating area and taking customer's order. The husband is in charge of the kitchen doing the main cooking and overseeing his helpers in their prep work. The service is always friendly and you are served with a smile.
