This is a mixed review. The food was great, as was the service. The manager even walked the rooms asking all the guests if everything was OK, and if there was anything else they could do for us. But, after that the experience took a sharp nosedive. My brother and I both belong to the Red Robin Royalty Club, IE, The Birthday Club. For those who register Red Robin gives a free burger and fries on your birthday. The drinks are not free but oh well. About a week before our respective birthdays (I'm today cate in our email. I got mine but, my brother didn't. He called Customer Service who told him that his account was fine. He asked that they email him a certificate as they had done for me. They told him that all he had to do is show his ID, and tell the server that it was his birthday and to look him up in the system. Well, as I said, the food was great, and the service excellent as well. But, no one at the restaurant could find my brothers account anywhere and, he was forced to pay for his meal. The server then tried to set up another account for him using the little terminals that are on the end of each table. She tried but the system told her "he already has an account". So, when we got home he called Red Robin Customer Service and, surprise, surprise, they were able to find him and could not understand why the store couldn't find him. At first they tried to buy him off with another burger. But, while the burgers are great that wasn't good enough. He demanded that Red Robin refund the entire amount that he spent. They say that they will do it. But, they need 10 business days to do this. We'll see. Also, it appears that Red Robin decides if the server gets a tip, and how much that will be. That should be the customers choice as to how much, and if the server gets a tip at all. I didn't mind giving our server a tip she earned it with us. But, it's OUR decision, NOT RED ROBINS! This same thing happened two years ago. I don't know if we will bother next...
Read moreFirst off let me start by saying this was our 4th time going to red Robin in about 3 years. This was due to all our previous occasion's at red Robin being horrible. I thought if I waited long enough in between visits they would hire good servers and friendly host. Boy was I wrong. When we showed up we told the host we needed a table for a party of 8, about 5 minutes passed and we told the host we had 2 more people that were going to show up, so could we have a table for 10. Man was that a bad idea, he asked me 3 times,"your joking right" while the other hostess gave me weird looks and rolled her eyes. But eventually they accommodated us and sat us down at the portion of the restaurant that was shut down for early clean up which I didn't understand because they were still open for 3 more hours. Once server arrived he was good except he had been drinking, after taking my in laws orders they wanted to leave because they could smell the beer in his breath. Then the food came which was good except,5 of us got our food first , and then approximately 10 minutes later the other 5 got there food. The waiter said they do that so the cook is not overwhelmed. Now I know why red Robin advertise's bottomless sides because when our burgers arrived they come with 5 fries, but the waiter did bring out more fries when asked. Before leaving we approached the manager named MONA and explained our experience. MONA replied, "thanks for telling me hope to see you soon." No never again in Visalia, shame on me for going a 4th time. The food is fine but the service made our...
Read moreIf I could give this place half a star or less, I would. I've never experienced such unprofessionalism in my life. My husband and I walked in greeted with no wait and only a handful of customers sitting and eating. However, the hostess sat us at a dirty table in the bar area. I asked if we could sit at one of the clean booths we passed on the way to the hostess station. She responded with, "Well, this is the only section open and if you want to wait for a booth you can, but it's going to be a while." I accepted her subpar excuse politely and sat down at the table she wiped halfway down. Only seconds later, my husband asked if we could leave because right after I was told that was the only section open, a couple was seated in the exact spot I asked to be moved to. We left without even getting our drink order taken. If that weren't enough, the cherry on top would be that as I headed out with my husband in tow, the hostess was chatting with a waitress and I hear a resounded, "Umm... Okay?" I tried to call the restaurant's manager as I walked away seeing I didn't want to make a scene in front of the 5 customers. No answer. Granted, I've always had decent experiences before this, but if this is acceptable behavior from Red Robin, we will not...
