The older lady who works there along with the main boss are unprofessional and steal. My boyfriend brought in his collection of yu gi oh cards(over 1000 cards) to be appraised and see how much money his cards were worth. Weeks had passed and we stopped by and seen that his cards were already being sold and had been sold for weeks already. The lady told us even though we we left them to get appraised I guess that means that we gave ownership for them to sell even though we never agreed on that. They are desperate people who rip people off for money. We waited probably a month until we decided to go into the store to see why we haven’t received any update on the cards and that’s when we seen the cards on display with prices and many already sold for high prices. NEVER bring your cards here to get appraised because they’ll just sell them without even telling you or paying their end of the deal. They did pay us a rip off amount because they knew the cards were worth a lot more than we originally asked. But only after we came into the store a month later demanding our cards back they paid us. They obviously don’t know how to run a honest business. Businesses that profit off of essentially stealing from their customers will never succeed. Shame that people old enough to be grandparents were never taught morals. Liars...
Read moreStopped by to see their Black Friday sell advertised on their sign. As a member of the Pokemon community our goal as players and collectors is to support the small guy where we can and whenever we can vs buying from Gamestop or other BigBox stores. But I was blown away by the asinine mark up on the products. If Big Baller Auctions has access to a distributor for Pokemon cards they pay below MSRP which you pay at Big Box. Yesterday when I went into the store a single Infernape V box which sells for $15 across all retailers was being sold here for $50. That is more than three times MSRP, not including tax. The shop was kinda derelict, and the dogs do growl although they were friendly once acclimmated, but a child wouldn't know that. All in all this place is kinda crummy, and I would never suggest to shop here. If they're not afraid to show shadiness in the store front, I can only imagine the shady dealings that happen behind...
Read moreWent in this morning to hopefully grab some cards for my collection. This used to be my go to spot but as soon as we stepped into the door, we got hit with a big odor of cannabis. Employees and owners were no where to be found but we could hear them in the back with the door closed smoking. I understand it’s legal in California but to claim this store is a family friendly store is wild to me. If you’re the owners and going to smoke at least have the curtesy for your customers and your business place and do it at home. I seen a review about this same thing a while back and the owner blamed the odor on other customers. Funny thing is, we were the only ones in the store this morning and we do not smoke. So that excuse is not valid. If you have children and you care about their well being and lungs, take them to Vintage Antiques on Mooney. They have a large variety of cards and most definitely family...
