HOSTESS RUDE DISRESPECTFUL UNPROFESSIONAL
My husband and I went here for breakfast this morning. The hostess put our name on the waitlist, and after waiting, a party of 3 put their name down. When the hostess went to sit us, she started to sit us at a very small table for 2 surrounding a bunch of people. We asked the hostess if we could have the open booth instead, but she replied no because she had a table of 3 waiting. When she left, my husband was very uncomfortable siting here. It’s no one’s business, but he requested that booth because he has PTSD and it was a safer spot for him. On top of that, he’s 250lbs and 6’2 and is always more comfortable in a booth over a small chair. Regardless, we were there first and should have been seated where we requested, especially noticing majority of booths sat only 2 people and they weren’t only for 3 or more people.
The busser came over and noticed the hostess didn’t get our drink order and helped us right away. My husband asked the very kind and understanding busser if we could move to a booth that was about to open up. When he told the hostess, my husband watched her continuously roll her eyes and glare at us. She told the manager, and the manager was kind and asked her to seat us where we requested. The waitress came over at our small table trying to take our order, but we said we were waiting for our table. She was short with us, said she knew we were waiting for the table, but we could still order. When we said we weren’t ready, she quickly left before I could ask what she recommended. When the table finally opened up, we both saw the hostess roll her eyes in our direction once again. When we sat down, my husband got up to tell the manager we had been disrespected by her staff. We thought we could sit and have a nice breakfast at that point, but the hostess really ruined our desire to be there. We got up and left. My husband left $10 to pay for the coffee and OJ we didn’t even drink because he was raised in the restaurant business, but I don’t think he should have.
Based on our experience with the hostess’s disrespectful facial expressions and eye rolls, we will never be going back to this restaurant due to these very poor customer service skills. We felt judged and unwelcome for requesting a different table to support our needs. The only person who seemed to care about our experience was the busser....
Read moreAbsolute worse dining experience I’ve had. It’s out in the middle of no where. Figure it out yourself parking. They wouldn’t seat us outside, because “they don’t sit parties of more than 5 outside” me and my son are autistic and suffer sensory issues and wanted to eat outside where it wasn’t so hot and loud. The inside was disgusting and dirty, they don’t clean the floors before seating you, and we sat with food under our table. The cups and silverware were filthy. We unfortunately stayed and tried to give it a chance. We waited for over 30 mins just to get our order taken, another 30+ mins to get our food. All of our food came out luke warm, and my son’s bacon came out cold. The lady handing us our food was so overwhelming, rushing us to take our food from her and practically yelling. When I took my son’s bacon it wasn’t even luke warm it was straight cold bacon. I asked if they could please take it back and get fresh bacon, and one waitress handed it off to another saying we want it hot. No I want freshly cooked not cold bacon. They brought it back maybe 30 secs later and it was still cold and the top piece was the only warm one, like they zapped it in the freaking microwave, Instead of waiting, I took it to the front and asked why they brought back the same bacon, and she stated that it was fresh, she grabbed it herself and it comes off the grill like that. So I stated, it comes off the grill cold? And she said yes. I asked for it to just be removed off the bill because I wasn’t dealing with that attitude or that nasty bacon. We all waited forever for Luke warm not even mid food. I didn’t even eat, I was truly to scared too, and thank god I didn’t, because my family left with stomach aches. Our meal was $170+ for 6. I think the only people who come here and give this place a decent review, do it for nostalgia or loyalty reasons to the owners. I will never eat at this establishment again. This restaurant needs...
Read moreAs a self-proclaimed connoisseur of breakfast, I can’t recommend this amazing restaurant enough! When the locals are lining up at the door, you know you’ve found a gem of a place. From the second we walked in we were greeted by Tom and told a table was being cleaned right away for us. Before we could settle in to wait, it was ready and from that moment on we were treated to a delightful experience. Come to find out, Tom, who seated us and brought our drinks, is Mama Kay’s dad. You could sense a fast paced, happy urgency in every person working there, ensuring the customers’ needs were met immediately.
The menu was extensive and we finally settled on chicken fried steak, eggs, cheesy hash brown casserole, toast, pancakes, and bacon. Being from Texas, we know good chicken fried steak. We expected a decent cut but wow, were we shocked! Best we’ve ever had! They even understood our bacon preference! A couple times I needed more syrup or jelly and Mason was right on it in record time, with such a beautiful smile and happy heart.
Do yourself a favor and come to this fun family restaurant. If I lived here I’d be...
