Sweets are my favorite food group, ice cream in particular and let me tell you Handel's does ice cream right! From the fresh flavors and ingredients used in their homemade ice creams it no wonder Handel's has been around since 1945. The Vista location is beautiful, we grabbed some ice cream and walked and did some shopping at the local stores. The two employees working today were so nice and helpful. Awesome to see smiling faces early on a Friday. Great location, great staff, and some of the BEST ice cream we've ever had! We were lucky enough to attend a Yelp Elite week event. Thank you Handel's, Anne, and Yelp Elite for such an amazing start to our day!

Great ice cream, yet I go there for one thing (banana split) and every time I go, my order is incorrect (no matter who takes my order or if they write it down). If i do say it’s incorrect, I’m often met with hesitation to remake it correctly. l often have to just accept it being incorrect simply because I don’t want to deal with the awkwardness. This last time we went, i got half the amount of ice cream I usually get with the banana split and had to pay for an extra scoop to make up for it (unfortunately its hard to show the true size in the photo)

I had a waffle cone with the vanilla caramel brownie ice cream. My husband had the salted caramel truffle and the cinnamon roll. The ice cream tastes fantastic. They have a lot of flavors to choose from including sherbet, sorbets and some vegan option. We also got an ice cream sandwich to share later. If you like ice cream this is definitely worth a try. 10/10.

Let me tell you what! Handles homemade ice cream - true story. I'm not much of an ice cream guy. I'd rather fill up on the dinner, but I have kids and sometimes I can't say no. So tonight it was Handles. No regrets whatsoever!

I got the four sampler, thinking no problem, a little sampler. Nope, this thing was massive. Four huge scoops of amazing ice cream, probably the best ice cream I've ever had, hands down. Monkey Business changed my perspective on ice cream. The creamy bananas, the chewy chocolate, so amazing. The salted caramel truffle, out of this world. Chocolate mint, better than I've ever had anywhere, ever. And caramel pretzel crunch, two different kinds of caramel, two completely different ice creams, both absolutely incredible. But so many more flavors to try! The wife got birthday cake and chocolate on a waffle cone that she also said was the best she ever had. The kids had brownie dough on cake cones and they absolutely loved it. Definitely...

Vista location serving scoop is only the size of Baskin/Robbins, NOT the giant scoop of the Encinitas, Carlsbad, and San Marcos locations. NOT worth $4.85. ALSO , two times I tried to understand the policy. My wife wanted a double with two different flavors. I didn't want anything, but wanted a bite of each of her two flavors. We were willing to pay the price for a double and the extra 25cents for a separate bowl. Server said their cash register wasn't set up to do this transaction. Management needs to assure reasonable size scoops, and do some training...
