Little Mexico — Restaurant in Vista

You either LIKE nacho cheese/ sauce on your Mexican food, or ya don't. I think that's where some people find fault here-- not us, however!

We LOVE the food, ambiance, service, carne, fact that they serve cold beer, and, YES- nacho cheese sauce here. My kid can get a giant helping of nacho cheese fries (off menu-- just ask for it). The husband can get carne asada fries or a carne asada burrito (as big as his forearm). I can get a breakfast burrito, bean & cheese burrito, or bean huarache (I can't find huaraches easily around here, so I appreciate these being on the menu).

Freshly made tortillas (in house!), and freshly-carved carne are just the icing on the cake. This place is legit, and I've held off reviewing it because I DON'T want it to get too packed/ popular (a bit of gatekeeping, if I'm being honest). But this place is good. REALLY good. You won't be...

Got the combo carne asada plate. Somewhat hard to order, the older gentleman taking my order seemed to have trouble hearing over the noise of the TVs. No pico or other salsa came with the plate so make sure to ask for some - I didn't get any. They don't have fountain drinks or cups of water. Lots of big TVs if that's your thing. Clean tables - no booths. Came in a ~7:30 on a Sunday night and the kitchen was full but the dining room empty, except a few people waiting on takeout. Wait for food was about 15 minutes. If I eat here again I will order online and ask for salsa!

The the tortillas are so fresh you can watch them make them from scratch. Carne asada...

For the first time I went to eat there to check out the food and I ordered different items and only like the asada fries and agua de chia bomb👌🏼everything else was okay needs more sazon/flavor! for the tacos they gave Lemons didn't have flavor we need limes. Disappointed on the owner I think it was he kept rushing me to order , had an attitude with me while I ordered and I went back to purchase more items and he seems annoyed by me 🙅🏻‍♀️I think he was mad because he was trying to eat and he kept having customers after we walked in and he commented to the other workers (damn they don't let me eat) unwelcome feeling...
