I just had the worst experience at the Buffalo Wild Wings in Waco, TX located at the central Texas marketplace. Excuse me for the long rant but when I tell you I will NEVER go back.....I mean that with EVERYTHING in me. First we were sat down after a 10 minute wait and it took another 5+ minutes to just get spoken to and drink order taken. Drinks were finally dropped off we were deciding on an appetizer, we were told ill be right back. After waiting forever we had to stop our waiter and ask to order it and for refills on drinks. We then sat for at least 15 minutes waiting to place order and receive our appetizer. After it was gone, its plate sat in the middle of the table for a good 20-25 minutes before we got our food. My oldest daughter had asked for no pico on her brisket tacos and yet it was all over it. My other daughter must have not looked correctly at the menu so wasn't aware that her bacon avocado burger came qith pepperjack cheese and a sauce. I apologized for the inconvenience and asked the waiter if he could remake her burger and change the cheese to cheddar and remove the sauce. He agreed and took the plate with my daughters incorrect plate for the orders to be remade. When biting into my wings they had what was a spiciness to them. I asked the waiter if the honey BBQ wings were supposed to be spicy and he said no. At this point i just ordered tenders because my youngest daughters plate was the only one that was right so I figured they can't get it wrong. Then the manager, didn't catch his name but will be finding out tomorrow when I call to speak to a different one, brought out the two plates that were supposed to be remade. He asked if we had wanted the burger with just meat cheese bacon and avocado and after waiting forever we said no but its fine we will deal with it. Then we realize my daughters brisket tacos had a strand hair on the avocado. Not only did our waiter witness this but another waiter that stopped also saw the hair and apologized saying it definitely needed to be remade now for a 3rd time!! During all this, I was still waiting on my tenders that supposed to come in place of the spicy wings I got. When asked what we would like to replace the brisket tacos with we asked what the quickest meal would be to prepare as we had already been there for over an hour and a half, still had not eaten, and very frustrated with the chaos so we ordered the boneless wings as suggested by waiter so we could finally get to eat. Not even 5 minutes later my daughter receives her lemon pepper wings to the table and the waiter walked away quickly. So I STILL not received the tenders that I ordered about 20 minutes before and saw the manager dropping an order to another table and stopped him. Mind you, he had already been to our table. So when I stopped him I asked if he had heard about the hair in our food and everything that had happened this far and he said yes. I asked if he could check on my food since they were ordered before my daughters wings and still had not been brought. Also informed him after being there 2 hrs I just wanted them in a to go box because I was ready to leave. We arrived a little after 6pm and did not leave until almost 830. And still didn't eat that whole time we were there smh. When I got my ticket I went over what was on it and I was furious!! NOW if we would have had a good experience everything would be fine BUT there was no discount, apology, or even trying to make things right!! Nothing!! Now let me make this clear I DID NOT go out looking for a hand out and was fully prepared to pay a good sized bill since it was myself and 3 of my daughters HOWEVER with the mistakes, the wait, and not receiving my plate until we were ready to leave you would have thought they would try to keep a customer. Also the ticket was wrong. I was not charged for the burger right it was rang up as burger and upcharged for the bacon and the avocado instead of the bacon avocado burger. I then spoke to manager and he proceeded to argue with me instead of correct it. Never again and will NEVER...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreLet's talk about Buffalo Wild Wings. I don't know where to start to be honest with you. When we arrived there was no one at the entrance to greet us. There were two people taking an order in the takeout area, and it seemed like one of them was in training; or that's what it looks like.
I wasn't bothered since I understand that having someone new in training is a bit complicated and stressful.
After they finished with a smile they asked me how many people, and let me decide where to sit. I also noticed a strange, super strong smell when I entered, but I'll talk about that later. When we sat down, the waitress came over and asked us what we wanted to order. You could see on her face that she was tired and didn't want to be there. Although I have to say that she never disrespected us or let extreme disgust affect our experience. They gave us the food and some extra plates that they apparently just "cleaned" since they were completely wet. The food was okay, although I think for the price the quality of the food was meh. š
But why didnāt I bring up the food like I always do? Well, because the food wasnāt the biggest problem with this place.
Remember I told you about the weird smell this place had when I walked in? Well, when I walked in, I realized that cleanliness in this place is definitely not a priority. The carpet in this place Iām 97% sure has never been cleaned, and I'm also sure that carpet seems to be part of a lot of crazy nights. There were tables with dirty plates that looked like they had been waiting to be picked up for ages. After I was done with my appetizer, the waitress picked up my plate and tried to drop it on that table. Something that she couldn't do because of how packed that table was. When she realized that she could not put any more dirty plates on the table, then she picked them up but let's the table completely dirty. The floor had trash and bits of food everywhere. At one point the waitress even accidentally dropped the fries on the floor of the people at the next table, and even though they changed the plate, the fries just stayed on the floor looking for a way to not be forget and even though they yelled for someone to throw them away, no one picked them up.
There were 4 people in the dining room in total to serve 6 or 7 full tables. Thatās counting the person at the bar serving alcohol.Ā So there were actually 3 people. And to be specific, only one waitress.
I don't know how many people are in the kitchen, but the question is, "If the dining room, which is what we as customers see, is in that condition, what will the kitchen be like?" I didn't want to ask myself that question while I was there, I didn't want to have a brain stroke in the middle of the restaurant, to be honest.
Part of the problem is definitely a lack of people. But I don't think the manager of this restaurant cares too much either. I don't think I'll ever go back. I really don't see myself visiting this place again. I love myself enough to find out if I'm going to get sick or not. Good luck to those who work there because I'm sure they are doing their best. Ā Ā Ā Read moreI am big on customer service since I work have worked for the public all my life! Iāve even worked in the food industry when I was in college and understand the struggles and what itās like when you are busy/ short staffed.
Our experience at the location in Waco was HORRIBLE from the time we walked in until the time we left!
Let me start by saying, it is a Thursday night in a college town and this location was maybe half full at bestā¦. When we (my husband, 3 year old, our 9 month old baby, and I) walked in, there was a family of 5 I thought was waiting for the host to come back and seat them, that wasnāt the case, they were never greeted. After us there was a a couple that walked in. Once the host showed up( about 5 minutes later) he was overwhelmed already and asked a waitress where he should sit everyone.
Once we said down it took the waitress awhile to greet us/ take our drink order. I watched her walk around and stand at the kiask for a bit before another waitress walked by her and they started talking. She finally came to take our drink and appetizer order. I will say, it was quick to get our drinks and our under cooked fried pickles but after that it took a little while for her to come back to get our order.
After this point is really went down hill! It took over 30 minutes for our food to come. We NEVER saw our waitress again. I have no idea where she was hiding but she wasnāt helping anyone. I finally got up to ask another waitress if she would check on our food because we havenāt seen our waitress. 5 minutes later, here comes our waitress and our food. We could tell our food has been sitting awhile because it was barely warm. My husband asked for more napkins and that even took forever (the waitress stated she has to climb up high to get more out of a box) why didnāt someone stock this before the restaurant opened to avoid a delay later on?
We went ahead and ate since we were all hungry. After we got the napkins, our waitress never came back to check on up or even ask how the food wasā¦.. poor customer service on her part!
After we finished eating my husband had to get up to wave down a different waitress to ask for our ticket. I would have asked for a manager but Iām honestly not sure who the manager was but I think I spotted her because everyone kept asking for her help. If that was your manager then the company needs to do better on who they hire as a manager because when your āmanagerā is wearing over sized clothes that says a lot about her position.
This was our 3rd time at that location and everytime has been horrible!
DO BETTER BUFFALO WILD WINGS!...
