Disrespectful Service and Unjust Charges During Anniversary Dinner My boyfriend and I were excited to try this restaurant for the first time to celebrate our anniversary. Unfortunately, the experience left me feeling disrespected, discriminated against, and unfairly charged — turning what should have been a special night into a frustrating one. Everything started off well. We were seated promptly, greeted, and placed our drink orders. Julia, our waitress, was initially attentive, and other waitstaff also helped by serving us drinks throughout the evening. My boyfriend ordered the 15-meat special with a side of salad, and I ordered a shrimp cocktail, since I’m not a fan of meats. We had planned to share the salad, knowing that portions here are typically large. While I was helping my boyfriend serve some salad, Julia suddenly yelled across the dining room, “Hey, did you get a salad?” Her tone and volume were surprising and felt very unprofessional, especially in a restaurant setting. I responded calmly, “It’s for my boyfriend.” She didn’t say anything further, and we went back to our table, trying to brush it off. When my order arrived, I was confused to receive a bowl of ice with six shrimp — definitely not what I expected for a shrimp cocktail. I was already disappointed, but I decided not to complain and quietly began eating the shrimp and some of the salad. Later, Julia returned, looked at my plate, and acknowledged that what I had been given was not a shrimp cocktail. She asked if I wanted it corrected, and I politely declined, thinking it was best not to make a fuss. Then, she said, “Well, since you’re eating your boyfriend’s salad, you’ll have to pay for a second one.” My boyfriend and I were stunned. This felt not only uncalled for, but petty and unfair. We had no intention of ordering two salads and were simply sharing what he had ordered — something many couples do, especially at places with generous portions. Yet we were charged for an extra salad anyway. The way Julia addressed me — both when calling me out across the room and with the added charge — felt needlessly aggressive and humiliating. I left the restaurant feeling embarrassed and like I had been singled out or taken advantage of. While I want to acknowledge that she was attentive and that the rest of the staff helped with drink service, the handling of the situation ruined the evening for us. I sincerely hope that management takes this feedback seriously. No guest should feel publicly called out, made uncomfortable, or unfairly charged — especially while celebrating a special occasion.

When our parents told us a churrasco had opened in Waco, we were excited to drive down from the Dallas area to have a nice dinner with them to celebrate our anniversary and a couple of birthdays in our group. Unfortunately, compared to other churrascarrias we've dined at, this one was underwhelming apart from the almost frantic atmosphere. In our opinion, they have too many tables--for the guests to feel uncrowded and for the staff to manage with less chaos. We were a party of seven, and were sat next to one of the server stations, so there was a constant traffic jam behind us. This made it difficult to get up for the restroom or salad bar. Despite the noise level, we could also overhear the staff's clear lack of communication as to who was doing what. One of our group had to ask for her drink three times before getting it and being told the second one had been served to another table. With all prior churrascarria experiences, we've always been brought a clean meat plate when a dirty one was cleared. Here, you have to go get your own from the salad bar area. The food was decent, a little above average, but again, we've had better, and with larger salad bars. There are fifteen items offered with the "Full Experience," but you may have to request the beef ribs and lamb options (chops or sirloin) as they don't come around often. I will give a shout out to the melt-in-your-mouth beef ribs along with the picanha choices--especially the spicy and the garlic. The grilled pineapple is fire, and pairs with with the grilled shrimp and bacon-wrapped chicken. We want to say thank you for the free dessert for our anniversary. This location has only been open for about two months, so maybe they're still figuring out their flow. For the cost of dining here, I really hope they can improve the service and atmosphere so future visitors can enjoy a relaxed, high-end meal.

My wife and I chose Casa Do Brasil to celebrate our very special wedding anniversary. Things started out weak…but eventually got better. We had a reservation but it still took too long to be seated. Once seated, we waited at least 15 minutes for initial service, and had to request it. Our server was polite, attentive & informative, however once our order was completed, we had to ask again about our drinks and appetizer order, which left us wondering if this was going to get any better. After making the full trip to the salad bar, we decided to cancel the appetizer order since, after another 20 minutes, it was still a no show. The salad bar is amazing. Lots of great fresh choices. Things were improving. Then the meats started being served. (Now we’re getting somewhere!). Suffice to say, the beef, lamb chops, bbq ribs, & chicken, & sausage were all outstanding. Only issue was the grilled shrimp which were overcooked to the point of being almost impossible to peel. The meats service was impeccable and seemingly endless. We ended the evening over a table-side flambéed cheesecake slice, which was scrumptious. Our service issues may have been a one-off anomaly since they seem to have few service-related complaints. We plan to try it again sometime.

I was going to leave 3 stars, but the fact that a manager chased me down at my truck, I had to up my rating.

Let me explain why I gave the 4 & 5 ⭐ ratings.

I booked our reservation for Sunday, Mother's Day for my wife and 3 year old son like 4 or 5 days in advance. In the reservation, I noted the need for a high chair. We walked in and the hostess was super and told us to hang tight for a few while she checked on our table. I didn't get her name, but very polite and sweet. She took us to our table, and I asked about the high chair. She went to get one, only to come back and tell us, they were out. She asked if a booster was ok. I agreed and waited. Meanwhile, I'm standing and waiting for the booster and our waitress came up and asked if we wanted drinks and appetizer. I explained, we had just gotten there and I was waiting for a booster for my son, and hadn't even had a chance to look at the menu!

The salad bar was nice, and I'm a sucker for a GOOD Wedge Salad. They had a GOOD, Wedge Salad! The sweet bacon was good too! Don't pass it up. It's really good. The spicy corn salad was also a hit!

Where is kind of went down for me was, several of the meats... Not all, but several of them were not salty... They were WAY TOO SALTY! I ate what I could until I just had to leave the rest for waste. I can't tell you what ones they were. My wife has requested shrimp, I asked our waitress if we could get shrimp. She said she would get them to come.

My son had to go to the restroom, so I took him. When I got back, my wife said they walked by her 2x with shrimp, but didn't bring any to our table. Finally I flagged someone down and he went to get them to come to our table. I didn't care for the taste of shrimp.

An interesting note. All 3 of our disc were turned with the RED side up. Yet 2 servers came to our table to see if we wanted any bacon wrapped something and I forgot the other. Then, even with the check in hand, another asked if we wanted a pork something. I laughed and said, No Thank You! What's the purpose of them, if they are still going to ask!?!? I wasn't offended, just found it kind of funny.

We were getting ready to leave and I'm assuming he's a part of management. He asked how things were, and I think I said they were okay. He had a surprised, but concerned look in his face. One that actually was interested in knowing why it wasn't great. I wished I had gotten his name, but I told him that several of the meats were just entirely way too salty and wasn't enjoyable to eat. He was sorry to hear that and said he would check on it and to give them another try sometime

I told him we would. We walked out, got to our truck and he was running up to us. He gave me a card, asked us to come again and he was truly sorry that the experience wasn't better. THIS... THIS IS THE LOST ART OF CUSTOMER SERVICE!

This man, who I wished I had gotten his name, truly wanted my opinion, even though it wasn't what he wanted to hear, he told me he was thankful for me telling him what I thought. And then chased us to thank me again for my feedback. It was because of my interaction with him, his true sincere concern and desire to hear my feedback, shows this place has potential to be a Top Tier restaurant in Waco. The management is in place. The staff need some tweaks, not an overhaul, just tweaks.

I didn't mention it before, but will now. Our waitress was really very soft spoken. I have difficulty in hearing and had to ask her to repeat like 5 or 6 times, because I just couldn't hear her.

If they will use less of the salt and not set my mouth out, I would by a lot happier. We will return, but will give it some time before returning

An FYI, we moved to Waco in 2020 from the south Houston area. We went to one of our favorite places in Webster Texas, Avenida Brazil and love the food there and nothing there was ever this salty. So we are not new to Brazilian food. Just new to this place

Let’s first start with the fact that I wasn’t a person that loved food in particular and only ate because it’s necessary to stay alive. That was… until I took my first bite of Lamb, the first meat of an ‘8 Cut Meat Experience’ where you’ll see staff walking around with towers of different meats stacked and cooked with your choice of Temps (Rare, Medium Rare, Medium Well, Well Done etc.) and will slice off your temp choice right there.

This is a Carnivores DREAM!!! It took me a minute to fully grasp the concept but the servers were perfect in their delivery and explanation I was in! I’ve never had meat so perfectly seasoned, so perfectly cooked with the crust, the ring, tenderness and juiciness. Every bit I had to stop, savor and accept that I wasn’t dreaming because this was from what dreams are made.

It was an out of body experience and the group I was with had fun watching me.. discover food for the first time! Every bite was a new out of body and other worldly reaction of ‘Mind Blown’! I leaned over and told my wife, “so this is what people are talking about when they’ve experienced GREAT food!! I don’t want it to end!!!”. And… it didn’t. Not until I was full. The towers of meat kept coming unless I had my 8 Cut Card facing down. It’s pure genius and pure BLISS! Never had I experienced anything close to this kind of wonderfulness.

Now let’s talk about our main Server Ingrid. She was very attentive, kind, warm and engaging for a table with so many people I honestly don’t know how she maintained her perfect composure throughout it all. I couldn’t have managed it all and my wife and I had questions about Dairy Restrictions, me wanting only meat and if she didn’t know something Ingrid brought us a manager that did know. All the staff were above and beyond anything I could’ve expected and if you haven’t dined here, like I hadn’t, then you have not lived. Please do yourself a huge favor and do so, it’ll change your world and if you’re a Meat Lover ask about ‘The Experience’. We will be...
