I just visited Magnolia Press for the second time. I was driving through Waco and wanted to grab a quick coffee. The restroom was very clean, so refreshing when on the road. I ordered a pumpkin spice latte and pumpkin donut holes ($8 for 8). The coffee was delicious, but unfortunately, the donut holes were dry and flavorless. When I finally caught the attention of an employee she just dismissed me and said that’s how they looked when they were warm. I tasted again, but they were so bad. I took my bag of donuts over to compare to the pastry display case and mine definitely had none of the pumpkin sugar coating. I hated to go back to an employee, but at $8 for a couple donut holes, I wasn’t about to just toss them and go. The employee who had already told me I was mistaken (tall young lady with a braid wrapped around her head) wouldn’t look at me or make eye contact when I tried to catch her attention. Finally a tall you man came over and said that my donut jokes were in fact missing their flavor topping and said he’s make me a new bag. All in all it took 20 minutes from the time I paid for my order until I walked out with coffee and donut holes in hand. I was surprised at the lack of genuine customer interaction by employees. There was little eye contact, and a lack or care for customer satisfaction. I hate to leave a poor review, but next time I’m driving through Waco I’ll look for another coffee...

Like all the other visitors and followers of Magnolia I was super excited with the prospect of Magnolia Press. What better, beautiful Texas weather...being with family and friends, fun times at Magnolia then a stop to Magnolia Press?? Gorgeous place, dark rich greens, creams with golds and brass...who can go wrong right? The actual coffee machines - ooo la la! However, I was super disappointed in my coffee - the coffee was over-extracted and bitter. The burnt coffee flavor overpowered the entire drink making it very undesirable. Thinking it was maybe a bad day for the barista and the team, when we returned to Magnolia months later with our friends we decided to try it once more. Unfortunately...we were let down again. Same story - as before. Here is a barista tip - It doesn't take more than a couple more seconds to give each coffee you are selling a little more time, effort and love before giving it to your customer. Take a breath, relax and enjoy making a Magnolia Press coffee for your customer. Believe me, it will make a huge difference in how the coffee tastes and looks. Your coffee machines are top of the line, beautiful and are capable of making the best coffee in Waco. However, at this time I believe Magnolia Press has fallen short...

Finally got to make it in. First thing everyone who works here was absolutely amazing and friendly! I will say the only thing confusing about this was finding where the line for waiting for coffee orders and ordering began. Plus there was another entrance off the main road that the line started there. We came from the back door and we're instantly met with alot of folks waiting for their orders. After finding the end of the line it was all great from there. I ordered the strawberry matcha and the Mister ordered the 1905 iced! I love that the had alternative milk options! Also decided to try thee lemon blueberry roll. It was fluffy but boy was it sweet. Now that we know the ropes of where to enter to meet end of line we are definitely returning! Also 100% recommend enjoying outside! Gorgeous out there!

It’s been awhile since we’ve been in the area, and to our surprise there was a Magnolia coffee shop! So of course we had to check it out and try out some coffees! We were greeted with extremely friendly baristas and adorable merch. We picked up the 1905 syrup because I had a feeling we were going to enjoy the latte. I chose their seasonal drink which was the Black Forest Mocha (Cherry flavored mocha topped with cherry cold foam), and it was good but I enjoyed my husband’s choice more! He got The 1905 (House latte infused with toasted marshmallow, vanilla, and caramel). It’s subtly sweet, but not too overpowering where you can’t taste the coffee. We’re actually happy that we now have a bottle of their syrup so we can enjoy it at home too! Can’t wait to be back!

Not our first time to MP as we are locals to Waco, but we usually only visit on special occasions. The atmosphere is always beautiful. Inside, the Cafe was full so we sat outside. The tables and chairs were clean, and there's nice spacing so you can have private conversations. The seats under a special cover of foliage has definitely weathered the elements. (Birds, moldy seats) I enjoy the coffee here and it's reasonably priced. Chocolate croissant was warmed and also good. Donut holes, although good, were not worth $1 each. I had never ordered them so I didn't know. 8 for $8. Plenty of parking nearby at different free lots. And it's always nice to walk around the silos grounds during spring.
