Chick-fil-A’s Smoke & Soul Combo
I didn’t just eat this meal. I experienced it.
The moment the tray hit the table, I knew this wasn’t fast food—it was fast fine dining. A symphony in Styrofoam. I’m talking curated balance: spice, sweet, smoke, comfort, and chill.
Let’s begin with the Spicy Smokehouse BBQ Bacon Sandwich, tucked inside that warm toasted bun like a secret. The filet had a beautiful crunch, layered with smoky bacon so thick it curled at the edge, and a rich BBQ sauce that didn’t overpower—it complemented. Then there was that Colby-Jack melt, slightly tangy, grounding every bite. This was heat with harmony, not chaos.
Slide over to the Mac & Cheese—golden, molten, and unapologetically creamy. You can see the caramelized cheese crown on top like it came out of grandma’s oven, not a commercial kitchen. It had that soulful baked edge and smooth center swirl. Every spoonful was a hug.
Then the Waffle Fries—golden, crispy, ridged like potato armor. That crunch? Impeccable. And let me speak on that Heinz Dip & Squeeze packet like it’s an innovation out of Silicon Valley. Peel for dip. Tear to squeeze. That’s ketchup tech. That’s love in a red suit.
Now, the drinks. The Pineapple Dragonfruit Sunjoy was ruby red and glowing—iced to the heavens, just sweet enough, no syrupy aftershock. Sipped like summer in a glass.
And that Frosted Pineapple Dragonfruit Lemonade? Look, I’ve had desserts. I’ve had drinks. I’ve never had a moment like that. It’s creamy. It’s cold. It’s tropical. It’s citrusy. It’s like somebody flash-froze a fruit dream and dropped it in my cup. That swirl of pink lemonade and ice cream was the mic drop of the meal.
The dining room? Packed. Quiet. Focused. Like a congregation. That’s the Chick-fil-A effect—hospitality without effort, flow without force. From the “My pleasure” to the precision of every item, you’re reminded: they don’t need Sunday. They win Monday through Saturday.
Would I change a thing? Not a chance. This is a five-star experience in a...
Read moreI started working downtown Waco in January and I use to love coming to this Chick-fil-A but I honestly am starting to notice the lack of customer service. There is an employee who when I see I just cringe because I know my experience will not be pleasant. She doesn’t say hello she doesn’t greet you in any way she just stares at you. Well let me correct myself. She greets until she sees me, I hear her greeting the other cars in front of me but when it’s my turn it’s all negative. I usually go there twice a week and She usually works the line outside but today she was at the window. Every time this lady sees me she frowns. No lie I heard her clearly thanking the car in front of me. I clearly heard her saying my pleasure and wishing them to have a good day. I received the total opposite . She saw me and I got no greeting. I got the frown and she didn’t even say my pleasure. Handed me my bag and stared at me. I don’t know why she is so rude with me. I do not know her but what I do know is that she is going to make me go to another food place because of her nasty bitter behavior. I too work in customer service and I would never treat anyone like she treats me. The food is awesome but that employee needs to be talked to. I’m sure I will see her next week and I hope someone says something because I’m really not one to complain but I do know good customer service and bad customer service. My receipt says Vicki but I don’t know if that is her name. Came through today 10-28 at 204 pm and she was the lady working the window today. Bless her heart I hope she has better days because if not she will make y’all lose customers!! And again I use to love coming here and still do...
Read moreI went to this location around 2 PM on a Monday so they weren’t that busy. I was one of the only cars in line when someone came up to take my order. The lady taking my order was very nice, but unfortunately her tablet was not working when it came time to take my payment. After several minutes went by with her tablet, not working the line behind me became quite long. She seemed stressed out because she didn’t have a headset and she couldn’t tell the workers inside what was going on. She eventually told me to just pull forward and pay.
When I went forward to pay the people at the window, didn’t know what happened in the drive-through and they seemed very frustrated. The lady that took my card seemed very annoyed and after she took my payment, she told me to pull forward in a rude voice.
All the cars that were waiting behind me in the drive-through got their food first and had to drive past me. When the worker finally came to give me my food, she basically just threw it in my hand and walked away Like it was my fault that my order took so long to get. I tried to say thank you, but she stormed off before I can even do anything. This was the worst experience I’ve had in a Chick-fil-A in this area and I definitely won’t be back to this location if they hire people like this customer should not be blamed and shamed when their technology doesn’t work. Honestly experience like this shouldn’t sour your day, but it definitely does. I just wish this location would’ve handled this...
