It’s a shame that I even have to leave one star. This place should have no stars.
I work at a whataburger so I know the corporate expectations of how we should run and operate our business especially regarding guest relations.
On my way traveling to San Antonio I suggested that we stopped at the Whataburger on 7th st in Waco Texas.
If I have never previously been at a whataburger before and known that this was not just piss poor management then I would have never visited a Whataburger again.
I am thankful for my team and my management that I do have because we have never looked like or acted like the employees or even the managers that I witnessed today at 2:48am on Saturday, March 24th.
Upon arrival in the parking lot there were 4 employees in a group smoking outside the door , all in uniform and all on the clock.
The gentleman who took my order was very kind, his name was Napoloen on his name tag. He took my order and at 3:00am they had no coffee in the dining room or the drive thru. Drive thru was also shut down at this time with pink cleaning solution and cones all around it.
So after being no coffee in the morning especially for us travelers, I just asked for a soda instead due to their lack of attention. I also ordered a Cinnabon and a apple pie and was given my number 31.
One of the employees that was outside in that group definitely did not double hand wash or wash their hands at all; they just threw the cinnamon roll in the bag and brought it to me; not paying attention to my order with the apple pie.
The apple pie was cold and tasted like it was sitting for four or five hours instead of their 2 hour hold time. I wanted out of this place so quickly; then I saw the manager in his khaki shirt, untucked and pants sagging.
This was the most unprofessional manner of business I have seen in a restaraunt and I hope that corporate sees this and definitely takes action quickly. The way the store is built it is very beautiful Inside and spacious but you definitely Have a lack of control with the management that you had in place tonight.
You are running a business and food establishment not a zoo. Their was no control over this shift and I would strongly suggest reevaluating your choice of management if you want to increase your sales and keep guests happy that are traveling on the highway with your brand. I know that if I did not work with such a great team and know the expectations of our corporate vision and guest relations then I would have never...
Read moreI have never given my favorite burger chain less than a four out five star rating, EVER.... until now. I would not recommend this location.
I stopped by here with my family members to get an early lunch as we were traveling along the highway and decided to go here. There was no one standing in line when we arrived. It took a while to get the food, which is sometimes not unusual. The worker came to the table with the food and no condiments tray. The worker failed to respond as to where the condiments tray was located when questioned. We asked for barbecue sauce for our kid which never arrived to us at the counter nor the table. My burger had no tomato and it should have been on the burger. There was an employee who was sitting in the back of the restaurant on the laptop computer and apparently talking on the phone at times. One employees was kissing her boyfriend in the corner in a Whataburger designated uniform. A few other employees seemed to be just aimlessly walking around not trying to do what they needed to do to get the job done to help serve customers and reduce the line that was now exiting the restaurant doorway. There were apparent spills of coffee and other drinks all over the drink area as shown in pictures. The ice was stacking up in the soft drink area fill tray. All the workers standing around weren't cleaning up the disorderly nature of the restaurant. There were flies everywhere inside the restaurant which should have been our first clue this was a bad choice for our lunch meal. The food was not good and I threw it away. I have never done that before either. This restaurant gave me a lot of firsts for a Whataburger Chain restaurant. I will put this location on my "Do Not Return List". Whataburger you are headed down a path that will turn off loyal customers like me and that will be the death of...
Read moreWhataburger: Delicious Food. Terrible Customer Service. This review is not just for this location. Your food really is higher quality than the competition. Everything I’ve had on the menu has been fantastic. Your customer service however has always been abysmal. Pretty much every time my wife and I go to a Whataburger, we wait on average 20-30+ minutes for just 2 Double Cheeseburgers and Fries (a simple order). The staff is generally only focused on the transaction or talking to each other; most times, just taking their sweet time with no inkling to the customer’s time or order. They’ll walk away from the register and into the back. When returning, never apologizing. Long wait times can certainly happen in the fast food industry, like when there’s a big rush or big orders ahead of you; it’s the fact that literally almost every time we order, they mess something up. When something is very good and worth the annoying instances you put up with to the point that you have negative experiences over and over again, give them chances to make good and they continue to mess up, there’s only so much left to do... My wife and I will never eat at Whataburger again. We’re not asking for free food or anything. We’re simply letting others know this location and almost every other location we’ve been to throughout Texas (from Waco to Frisco to Grapevine) is terrible. Whataburger HQ, I highly recommend you set a company-wide initiative on customer service and quality assurance. Do that and you’ll see a big spike in profits and reputation. For my wife and I however,...
