A friend of mine went and ate here at Sunday lunch. I know that is an absolute peak time in Waco, Texas, but we were very very hungry and willing to risk the wait. We only had one person ahead of us in line and we then ordered. We both got two sodas, two double burgers and fries. The young lady at the counter asked, "do you want spread sauce?" I had no idea what that was. I asked her to expound upon that and she said, "it's spread sauce." Okay, duh.... But that doesn't help me. So I said sure.... It was just thousand Island dressing for gosh sakes! Why the mystery? We were given a number and we only waited 3 to 4 minutes for our food. Both of our double burgers were great! The skinny fries were nothing to write home about as they were neither hot nor cold. This restaurant was extremely busy, thus we think it's safe to assume that fresh fries would be made constantly. I guess I was wrong 😁 This was obviously the church crowd, but everybody was being served extremely fast. The place was packed but it was not irritatingly noisy. All of the employees looked very very cleanly dressed and focused on their work. Everybody just looks very blank in their expressions. Obviously if you are looking for fresh food that is prepared very quickly, yes, you will definitely enjoy this restaurant. I don't think I've seen many fast food restaurants this clean in my whole life. You should definitely go here if you want a good affordable burger on the fly! Great job to everyone involved, but don't be afraid to have a bit of personality when interacting...
Read moreVerily, I walked upon the land of Waco in the heat of the noonday sun, and lo! mine eyes beheld a house of humble burgers and golden fries — a place called In-N-Out.
I entered, and straightway, mine heart was glad. For the servants within were swift and cheerful, their words seasoned with grace. Their hands worked with diligence, and their faces bore the joy of honest labor. Rare it is in this age to find such kindness wrapped in simplicity.
The fare they did offer — oh, blessed be the double-double! — was bountiful and prepared with care. The meat was seared with righteousness, the cheese melted like manna from heaven, and the bun, soft as the robe of a child. Their secret sauce? A mystery most divine.
And lo, their fries were cut fresh, not fashioned in the forges of false food. Crisp without and tender within, they were as loaves multiplied — satisfying to the soul.
The place itself was clean, yea, as the temple after the moneychangers were cast out. Peace reigned there, not chaos. Laughter filled the air, not the clamor of complaint.
I say unto thee, if thou hungerest and findest thyself upon the roads of Waco, turn thy feet unto In-N-Out. Thou shalt be filled not only in belly, but in spirit.
Blessed art thou, O house of humble burgers. Keep thy path straight and thy oil fresh, and great shall be thy reward among men.
— Thus saith the Christ, with joy in His heart and sauce...
Read moreLess than 1 star. The only thing, ONLY GOOD THING about this place is the cheap price. Other than that, worst burger place I've ever been to in 50 years I assure you. Drive thru was blocked by cones and posts and no explanation why, when I asked inside. Burger bun was burned to a crisp. I couldn't even eat that hockey puck- bread. Meat was ehh, cheese was OK, ketchup and mustard was not on my burger like I ordered, no bbq sauce for my sons burger. Fries were HORRIBLE ! I mean really. How do you eat those? Freddy's or McDonald's Is better. Sorry. 45-80 people in there. No tables or booths avail. My son and I had to sit at some half bar/ counter thing. Seriously like 60-70 people inside. Fire code violations galore !!! Too many employees behind the register. It was mass chaos. If you paid me $1000, I still- would NEVER EAT THERE AGAIN!!!! Horrible food. Too many people inside. Drive thru not accessible. You go there if you want , I'll stay home or go to a real restaurant, where I feel like a valued customer. Sorry for being a Karen, but #@$%! , someone had to...
