Tea time — Restaurant in Waco

The drinks were very average for being almost 7 dollars in price. I got the Horchata boba drink and it was just milk with cinnamon. The boba in the drink was in the warmer too long which makes it hard. The vibe of the store is very quiet. The workers don’t greet you or make an effort to talk unless spoken to. We had to take our own order on self-checkout and still got the “Do you want to tip?” question. What happened to a simple hello? Bu Yao. Then I got a 2 protein bowl for almost 15 dollars. Not worth it in my opinion for how much protein was served. Only 1 cookie scoop for each. I would have left 1 star, but the only thing saving it was the deal of free tea. I would recommend other stores that serve bubble tea and poke bowls. If the owner reads this; please improve! I ordered the mangonada and ahi tuna bowl. These were great. The issue I had was the customer service from the 2 younger girls. There was no greeting and while asking questions there were no good answers. My friend ordered a Thai coffee and we left she asked me to try it because it taste like tea. Being from Dallas and always trying Asian restaurants I knew it was wrong tasting. I went back in and the mother I assume was at the register, I asked her what kind of coffee it was. She said they use tea leaves and coffee for their iced coffee. I tried to explain it wasn’t what I had tasted as a Thai coffee. I am new to Waco and I am trying new things, in this case, I have never had boba tea. I was with a relative and who has also never tried boba. She chose her drink and I had asked the person at the cashier to choose a good first drink for me. They explained everything and answered every question I had. The staff is extremely friendly, helpful and delightful! I liked my drink but the mango snow ice was DELICIOUS! As soon as I tried the first sip I knew I had a favorite. I will definitely be returning for that one and trying...
