Melody Ranch — Restaurant in Waco

Went to college night and I have been here 20+ times before. I’ve paid in card every single time I’ve come, except for this time I paid in cash. My friend behind me gave the older blonde short-haired lady with glasses her card to pay and the lady stared at her like she was stupid and proceeded to yell at her for trying to pay card. I witnessed it and tried to ask her to calm down and be respectful and she proceeded to scream at us and kick my friend out. My friend was very respectful and is a server, so she is familiar with proper customer service. The most disrespectful woman I have ever encountered, and kicked a number of people out after us for the same reason. All these bad reviews on here are about her, so I don’t particularly know why she still works there. The officers will lie to your face and back her up even though they didn’t witness her poor treatment of customers. Also, country dancing is okay here, but there’s better places to go with...

The a/c was not working, the place is a dump, the staff is rude and crude. I would never recommend anyone go to this hell hole. Tracy Lawrence was great, but even he could not stand the heat for very long. Have seen him numerous time and he has never, ever taken a break until Saturday night June 17th at the pit they call the Melody Ranch. The a/c was out for days according to staff and these cheap losers did nothing to get it fixed. They did not inform you the a/c was not working before you paid to get in. We spent 250 for a table and the heat was so unbearable we had to leave. I mean how much would it have cost them to get port-o-coolers for their customers. I read where the owner is in the 35 south band wonder if he would have wanted to play at his own hell hole Saturday night? Since I’m under 21 I have to get an M written on my hand, no biggie ofc.. I mean I don’t really drink anyways, but I used the restroom like twice and since I used soap and water (because I’m not nasty) the M smudged up a bit and became faded and this very rude women (older women with very short blonde hair) kicked me and my friend out. Seeing as I had JUST gotten back from a six month deployment I just wanted to have fun and dance and feel human again for the first time in six months but I wasn’t able to due to that women’s lack of common sense. Soap and warm water+marker=it’s gonna fade/smudge. So now I’m driving an hour back home after paying a $30 entrance fee to just be kicked out by a rude women with no common sense.
