Pei Wei Asian Express — Restaurant in Waco

If I could give it a negative 5 stars I would. We got there at 6:50. I have no idea when they close. The rest of the mall was open another hour 🤷🏻‍♀️ They didn’t have any good food left so they were rudely throwing stuff in the box. I Spend $50. Go to get our drinks and we are blocked off from exiting there. I couldn’t turn around and go back the other way because there were a ton of people. So I move the blocked off chairs to get out of the line and leave. The lady started yelling at me saying it was blocked off for a reason. 😡 and to use my common sense. 😡😡😡😡😡 The food was nasty. I will be writing to the better business bureau. Due to the attitude and the fact that they were creating a fire hazard. I will be contacting the health department due to the temperature of the food. And I tell everyone I know how I spent $50 to be talked down to. Not ok....

I've never reviewed a restaurant in my life but I went here today and I'm still lowkey reeling from the interaction I had with one of the employees. I found a short, black hair in my food. I told the lady behind the counter about it. I wasn't rude or anything, I just told her that I found a hair in my food. She got me new food, but she refused to believe that the hair belonged to any of the employees. She told me that I needed to put MY hair up while I'm eating. My hair is long and light brown. I don't have any pets with short black hair so it couldn't have come off my shirt. It's just baffling to me that she would try to convince me that I was somehow responsible for the hair in my food considering it was very, very clearly not mine. The food itself...

Pretty decent Chinese place, my girlfriend thought it was spectacular like she was over the moon about this pretty okay Chinese food. I wasn't too impressed with the pricing, however I am from a much lower income area and have come to expect lower prices for the area. The prices are great but I was a little put off at first as I'm not used to the big city lifestyle.

But if I was at the mall this would definitely be the place I choose to eat. It beats Chick-fil-A any day. I made a lot of good memories here with my girlfriend at this specific Chinese location so I got to say it was definitely worth the money!
