Shorty's Pizza Shack is a hidden gem that caught my attention while picking up an order for Uber. Despite being born and raised in Waco, I had never noticed this restaurant until the tantalizing aroma drew me in during my wait. Intrigued, my wife and I vowed to return and experience it firsthand.
We've already visited twice, and the quality of both the food and service compelled me to share my thoughts. Our family's love for buffalo pizza led us to try their rendition, alongside a three-meat and pepperoni pizza. The thin, crispy crust was an instant hit, particularly with my wife, who found herself enamored by its texture.
Stepping into Shorty's is like entering a cozy haven, exuding warmth and hospitality. However, what truly elevated our experience was the exceptional service provided by Johnathan, our waiter. His relaxed demeanor and genuine kindness enhanced our dining experience, making us feel truly valued as customers.
As for the pizzas, each bite was a symphony of flavors, with the buffalo pizza standing out for its perfect balance of spice and tanginess. The three-meat pizza boasted a hearty combination of savory toppings, while the classic pepperoni pizza delighted with its simplicity yet bold flavor.
Overall, Shorty's Pizza Shack offers more than just exceptional pizza; it's an establishment that values customer satisfaction and prides itself on creating memorable dining experiences. I highly recommend indulging in their delicious offerings while basking in the inviting ambiance and attentive service provided by staff members like Johnathan. Shorty's Pizza Shack has undoubtedly secured a spot among my top dining...
Read moreWith my recent move from Fort Worth to Waco I've been in search of the best this area has to offer. My coworkers at my new job brought me to Shorty's for a Friday Happy Hour and I wasn't disappointed. From the half pitcher of cold Lone Star to the Spicy Slice of The Day (pepperoni and jalapeño) to the five piece order of wings ordered "Hot", everything was delicious. The pizza was a medium sized slice on a NY style crust with a special "Bone Sauce" that was spicy but blended well with the other ingredients. The wings were juicy with great flavor and were smothered with sauce (extra napkins are a must). The only thing that was disappointing was the level of heat for the wings. Ordering the "Hot" which according to our delightful waitress Gabby was the hottest sauce on the wing menu was more along the medium range. After chatting a bit with the manager on duty (who was very personable and informative) he brought out a small jar of mixed pepper flakes (reaper, ghost, habanero, scorpion) and that brought the heat level up! 😳 🔥 There is a large patio area with plenty of seating and a nice bar inside for those who prefer that. All in all it was a great experience spent with new friends in a quaint little pizza/wing shop that caters to the local college crowd but was more than comfortable for someone on the experienced side of life. I look forward to my next visit!

Because they are just AMAZING. this week I went in at 9:30 got my usual, went home to get my stomach full and get some sleep to go back at a 12 hour work day as every day. BUT, I open the box and was hit with the smell of a wild fire. My pillow was burnt, beyond repair and eat able. I have a bit of an attitude so I waited until Thursday to discuss this, I bought it Tuesday. I went in the Shortys and just spoke to the lady at the counter (MARISO) because I am not a Karen and don't ask for the manager or owner (I know who they both are). BOTTOM LINE, THEY TOOK CARE OF ME. I APPRECIATE THE WORKERS AND THE FOOD THEY PUT OUT. every one is human and gets tired. THIS DOES NOT MEAN THAT YOU SHOULD GO IN THERE A FEED THEM A LINE TO GET FREE STUFF. they work hard a d put out a great product just to be ripped off. Pay for it, it's worth every cent. THANK YOU MARISO for...
