On March 3rd at exactly 8:48 PM, my life took a turn I never saw coming. I bit into the chicken quesadilla from Carolina Ale House, and in that moment, I knew—nothing would ever be the same. I’ve had quesadillas before. I’ve been to Mexican restaurants that claim to specialize in them. But none—NONE—have delivered an experience like this. The peppers and onions? SautĆ©ed to perfection, like they were personally trained by a culinary angel. The cheese? Melted in a way that can only be described as divine intervention. Every bite was a flavor symphony, each ingredient dancing on my tongue like they rehearsed for this exact moment. Whoever made this deserves a raise, a trophy, and perhaps even a gentle kiss on the forehead. I will be back, and I will be ordering this again—because once you’ve touched greatness, how could you ever go back?

We had a great dinner here last night with some friends with a variety of dishes. We got the Frickles and Crispy tots as well forgot to take photos of those. I love very lightly battered pickles and they were, VERY good highly recommend I could have ate the whole basket myself šŸ˜‚. I got the smothered chicken burrito and it was very LARGE and good, sauce was a little spicy, great flavors. I also had 2 Margaritas that were great. My husband got the burger and a Caesar salad and enjoyed both. My friend got the salmon and said it was very good. We love ale house just finally took the time to review it. Definitely a good spot to hang, watch the game or play some games they have 2 pool tables and a few other games by the bathrooms. They were decorating for Christmas and it's looking good. šŸ‘Œ

The food took longer than seemed necessary and the service was slightly negligent. We went for an early dinner / late lunch around 4:30 so it wasn't very crowded. There was a fair amount of local taps available with a good deal to get a 20 oz for a dollar extra. The Carolina nachos were amazing, with flavorful BBQ dripping falling off the chips. I got the ahi tuna burger, which is delicious in general, but it wasn't the best version I've had. It wasn't dry, there wasn't too much sauce, and the type of bun was a nice complement. I gave it 4 stars for the quality of the food but the atmosphere and interaction would bring it down to a 3.

Couldn’t even rate the food or atmosphere since we never got any. The manager, who we were told was named Jess, was incredibly rude to me and my friends about not accepting my friends and I's out of state IDs. Apparently, 4, 24 year old friends visiting their parents house over Easter who have since moved away from NC and have different state IDs cannot be served. None of us were intoxicated (had not had even a single drink elsewhere). We were explicitly told "we do not accept out of state IDs" (despite the manager backtracking and saying she didn't say that, and reworded it into "we don't feel comfortable verifying out of state ids" after, so clearly she wasn't supposed to say that). Look, I've worked in both the restaurant and bar industry, have served alcohol, and know how to check most east coast IDs. I respect restaurants right to refuse, but she was rude to us from the getgo.. This manager refused to even work with us when respectfully offering different forms of ID, to have an officer come take a look, anything. And I'll admit when I'm in the wrong but we were nothing but respectful and she just gave short, snappy responses. Apparently a reason for not serving us was also when I said "I genuinely have no reason to lie about being 24" and she said "Well I'm 37." What? What does that have to do with anything?Anyways. Terrible business model to not accept a single out of state ID, which apparently they do. Would've been totally fine if she had said "Tonight we can't accept these because even though I'm a manager of a bar/restaurant that is known for serving alcohol I have failed to learn how to check a single out of state ID." Or, if she hadn't been rude and snappy throughout the entire...

This is my go to spot in Wake Forest!!! Love everything about it ! ** UPDATING REVIEW UNTIL RESOLVED - My husband and I dine at Carolina Ale House in Wake Forest about three times a month and usually love spending time with the Staff at the bar, so it pains me to write this updated review ( mainly about the manager ) We called in our order this evening because we were too tired to come in, yet the experience was shockingly poor.

Instead of listening to how I wanted my order placed, Jess and another staff member were more focused on charging me an extra $0.50 per sauce. I clearly instructed—twice to Michelle and once to Jess—that all veggies and the salad be packed in a separate box and bag so nothing would get hot or wilted. I agreed to pay the extra sauce charge, but when we got home the salad was buried under two piping-hot orders of wings, the lettuce was warm and soggy, and the veggies in one wing order were essentially cooked.

When I called to resolve it, Jess argued with me instead of offering a solution—and even hung up on me mid-conversation. I called back, and Joy answered; I asked if they would make it right or if I needed to take my complaint to corporate and reviews. She simply directed me to the LM restaurant website. I was willing to accept a refund for the uneaten salad or a coupon for a future meal, but the combative attitude and lack of accountability left me with no choice but to write this.

I’m expecting communication back from leadership about my partial refund—or I’ll head to the BBB next. There is no need to be nasty to your customers. Terrible experience for a...

We used to go to the Ale House on Wake Forest by the Red Lobster and we Loved it! Now that we have moved we are going to the one right off of Capital Blvd at 540, our first time there was pretty good the Bartender was really friendly just a little slow and we ordered the appetizer plate(swapped fries for the pickles) it was Awesome! We had a great time! We decided to go back again, the same guy was behind the bar but there was also a girl with him, she got my husband's beer and handed me the menu I asked for then walked away, I tried to ask her for something else and she completely ignored me and walked right past me, she never once asked if we wanted or needed anything all night, and we ordered the appetizer plate swapped out fries for the pickles again thinking it would be good again, it was awful!!!! The chicken strips were old and dried out, the fries were old,we got 2 cheese sticks that were cold and hard, and 3old wings, very disappointed after what we had received the first time! Then I saw an exact order come out for someone else who appeared to be one of the Bartenders friend's that looked amazing! So I guess you have to know someone who works there to get good service! I can say the only person so far who has given us good service was a young skinny guy working behind the bar the first night we came in, he was constantly checking on us to make sure we were doing okay! That's why I'm giving the 4...
