Firehouse Subs — Restaurant in Wake Forest

This was my first visit to this location and my second visit to a Firehouse Subs. We didn't eat in,, we got subs to go. Service was good. Staff was super friendly. I do like the look of their restaurants. The Firehouse theme is nice. It all falls apart at the food though. I got the NY Steamer. For starters, it looked nothing like the online picture thats for sure. Just a few slices of beef and some veggies. I found it very lacking compared to its picture. The next issue is the flavor, or lack thereof. The sub should have some with mayo and mustard. I found neither. I've never had such a bland sub in my life. If it wasn't for the cucumbers, it would have had no flavor at all. Extremely disappointing. The wife got a roast beef sub. She had the same issue regarding flavor. The roast beef and provolone were flavorless. If a sub can't stand on its own without mayo or something, that's a problem. My first visit to a Firehouse was underwhelming and so was my second. I think I'll keep clear of...

I felt racially attack while coming into the restaurant as I walked in, no one spoke to me or anything but you see the other white people coming in they’re yelling “wElCoMe To FiReHoUsE” but howcome when I come in, you didn’t say anything? And I’m targeting this comment on the Mexican dude who was the one faithfully greeting every person but just insisted to not even greet me and he was standing by the registers handling the breads at 1:38pm on April 16th. I won’t be back at this location anytime soon and will definitely not recommend any “black” people there due to the racial customer service that was provided. Also when I got my sub, the other Mexican dude acted like it took everything out of him to say “have a good day” or he must’ve said it really low. We have been here multiple times, have given them multiple chances, but never again. You have one job…to make a sub… and you can’t do that correctly?! One time it was extra mayo ordered, and I received GLOBS and TONS of mayo, pretty much every time we order online there is no pickle, even though the pickle is ordered, meat falling off and out the side of the sub…you can’t even put the meat on the sub correctly?! Like I said one job…you are a sub shop. Sometimes the top of my container is stained with so many hand grease stains… disgusting…take the extra step and get a new container…it throws off the whole sub when it’s disgusting like that…live I said never again…I will frequent...
