Paco's Pizza — Restaurant in Wake Forest

I really wanted to love this place following the great things that I was hearing about it and the amazing food photos on the reviews. Once we finally did, the experience was just simply NOT good all around. I’m giving 2 stars in the event this was a 1-off bad experience. I’d like to give them another shot, but there are just so many other pizza options.

There order management needs tons of work from what I saw. They were so busy/understaffed that they stopped taking delivery orders, but people were still able to place delivery orders online. Inside, they were consistently preparing orders 15-25 minutes after the expected wait times. Additionally, the service was not great… without apologies, following up with updates of any kind, or setting accurate expectations with folks waiting. The staff were doing their best, it just seemed that they lacked a good order management system and training on how to manage customers in store.

All that being said, the food could have rescued the experience, but it did not. The salad was extremely disappointing for a $10 Caesar salad (lettuce, a few croutons, and minimal Parmesan), which sometimes I get. You go for the pizza afterall… but the NY cheese pizza was just so-so and was clearly overdone with a cracker-hard crust. Based on other reviews, perhaps this was just a bad...

WOW-this place is a COMPLETE DISORGANIZED MESS!!!! I don’t know how they have a high review-and I never will after this experience!! I ordered 2 pizzas online -a simple cheese and a veggie. Went to pick up the order an hour and half later when I requested it to be ready and as I ask for my order, I was told to hold on a minute and after I waited 10 minutes for her to figure out where and what my order was she comes back to say we just started your order. Are you kidding!!!!!….as I am trying to cancel the order at this point I see one of the cooks walk around to the front and he is the dirtiest looking person!! So needless to say, I was EXTREMELY happy for the way things turned out! No pizza, peace of mind that I wouldn’t get sick from eating here and my money back!
