The Butcher's Market of Wake Forest — Restaurant in Wake Forest

My one star is not based on their food, which is actually very good. I had been going there for several months but they just lost this customer. Last time I was there I went to pay with my watch which I do EVERYWHERE I need to pay. I was about to pay when this rude guy came up to the register and started saying that I couldn’t do tap pay. I said that I had been doing it for weeks and that I had used it the prior day and he kept saying that I couldn’t use it. I told him I didn’t have a card, which I hardly cary with me, because it’s 2023 not 1823. He rudly said that I could pay that time but never again. First, you don’t have a sign at the door saying we don’t take tap or online or anywhere. Second, why would you have tap available at your register if you don’t take it. Third, you are considerably a “bigger” small business than many others and those smaller business have tap, online order and much more. Your App is horible. I rather go somewhere else where they won’t be rude and have both the food and the tech I need to pay. BYE! (p.s. None of the employees have ever been rude to me, just this guy which i guess was...

We shop here weekly and eat their chicken, beef, and pork at least 5 times a week. Their product and customer service is excellent! But after this recent experience I needed to write a review. All products have been excellent from day one. My wife makes sausage balls every year for the family gatherings. We usually use regular grocery store sausage but this year the stores happened to be out. She had the thought to try Butchers Market to see if they made sausage as well. It was phenomenal. They were better than they've ever been. The sausage was fresh and well seasoned. It was so much better than regular grocery store brands. I really don't know why I am surprised as all their other products are as well. Just wanted to give a quick shout out to the team at the Wake Forest location. You guys rock! Went a couple of months ago, and have visited a few times. I always go for the prime ribeye steaks. The steaks in the case are always too thick so I have them cut. The last time I went the steaks were cut so horribly uneven the "butcher" who cut them should've been ashamed. I couldn't fully see the steaks when he showed them and figured they'd be fine because they know how to cut steaks, right? They offer, and it's not supposed to be an issue.
