St. Charles Towne Center — Local services in Waldorf

Having grown up around here since the 1990's, I have no idea how this mall continues to exist to this day. I'm unsure as to whether or not the small size makes it convenient or not since I cannot speak on behalf of those who prefer larger or smaller malls.

However, my main concern is the food court itself that is disgusting, and this is coming from someone who has work experience walking around the back entrance areas that the general public aren't allowed in. This mall has had an ongoing infestation problem with rats and roaches for YEARS as far back as 2007 if not longer than that. There was a time a rat even fell out of the ceiling's paneling somewhere in the food court. You're putting your own health at risk by choosing to eat from a mall that has these unsanitary conditions.

UPDATE: As of June 15th, 2025 For those complaining about why Popeye's is closed for now, keep in mind that this is the second time it's shut down recently because of a cockroach infestation once again. Seriously, why does anyone still bother eating at this mall's food court? This mall needs to be condemned, it's not advised to eat here at the risk of finding roaches or rat droppings or poison in your food. Go somewhere else already, you'll find better places than this...

On Monday May 13, 2019, I visited the Mall to go to Macy's to purchase a Sundress for an upcoming vacation. After making my purchase, I went to the food court to Chic fil A (sp) to buy a sandwich. The clerk there was nice, asked me did I enjoy my shopping. After I paid for my food, I moved down to the pick up area, leaving my purchased item at the other end. Picked up my order and walked away, as I was walking away, I realized I didn't have my Macy's bag. I ran back to the food court to Chic fil A to inquire about my bag I left. No one not even the cashier saw my bag, yet she was the one who asked me did I enjoy my shopping. I reported the incident to aA Mall Security Officer who referred me to his supervisor. I provided the officer my information after telling him what occurred. It is Wednesday, May 15th and I have not heard from the Security Officer even if they have not recovered my "stolen" merchandise, a courtesy call would be nice. What happened to decency...

This is a huge center with about 130 stores. You could spend all day here and not see every store. There are just too many stores to start naming them. If you want a listing of the stores, I suggest you go out on Google. The center is clean considering the space it takes. There is plenty of parking, though some of it you will walk a mile. There is handicapped parking and access. If you want a space up front or close, I suggest you get there early, like when they open. I believe that's around 10 am. There are times, especially during the holidays, that you have to be aware of your surroundings. They are modern range in pricing. Some of the stores, such as Macy's are, in my opinion, overpriced. There is a variety of restaurants in the mall when you get hungry. Some are decently priced, and some are way too expensive. They need a reality check.
