*editing to add that the only 1 stars are trolls that have never been to this establishment. The one comment with the likes posted on a non Christian page to attack this business for the quotes on the cup. I’m so enraged that you would take your time to hate on people who love others so much. It’s truely pathetic. The smartest atheists in the world will tell you to respect Christian’s they are good people that you should surround yourself with. They are filled with love for others. This troll is full of hate I am so sorry this business was attacked by this sad person and people who have never got experience this wonderful place. I hope God will have mercy on their life and give them better things to do with their time. Please give this place a try for yourself and not be discouraged by the fake reviews of people who have not tried it. Thank you!

Wonderful place! Such a good addition to the town. Thank you for spreading the light with the inspirational quotes on your cups aswell. It’s Christian people like this that make our community such a wonderful place, please open your eyes and see what Christian’s do for the community. Without them so many would go without homes, food, clothes, jobs. Thank you so much for not letting negative people bring you down. I hope your light shines for miles! We need more God and Godly people or the world will cease to exist. Good food, good conversation, all is welcome. Cute cards, office supplies, food, coffee better than Starbucks, ice cream for the kids and cute comfy...

The actual food and drinks were delicious! I got a pumpkin latte and it was very tasty and smooth and not oversweet. They have a selection of pastries and bagels, and I like that the food also has a Mexican influence-I think it makes their offerings special. We’ll definitely be back!

I love the atmosphere! I think that they should really lean into the unique, well-designed items they have because they’re wonderful souvenirs for out-of-towners. The office supplies feel a little incongruent with the “vibe.” The shop is downtown and there are lots of other little places you can go to after you grab a snack.

Reading through reviews, it seems like people are having a lot of feelings about the Christian influence on the cups. I’m not a Christian, but I didn’t find it to be intrusive or upsetting. The only clue I got of Christian influence was a little message on the sleeve of the coffee, and usually I try to frame those kinds of influences as people genuinely wanting the best for me and it’s not out of malice or disrespect. Though I don’t want to go to a shop where that’s the main focus, it really didn’t impede my experience, which was overwhelmingly positive! It frustrates me to see reviews from people who live out of town who haven’t even been there because I’d hate for a local business to fail based off of one little phrase on a coffee cup. Come on, y’all. Capitalism makes things hard enough on small businesses, and Walhalla has come leaps and bounds in...

This isn't meant to be a negative review of the shop or anything. The staff seems kind of the coffee was good. Unfortunately the coffee comes with a side of religion on the cup. If you wanted to post inspirational things on your cup I don't know why it had to come directly from religion. I don't subscribe to an organized religion and don't go to church and according to the town I live in, that's blasphemy. I get ridiculed . So many people have been ostracized and terrorized by religion. Seeing scripture, Bible quotes or religious context in those were supposed to be a community type setting, well its definitely painful for a lot of people. If people want to find Christianity than let them come to you with questions. But please don't post these on all of your cups. There are thousands of us who have had very negative experiences at the hands of religion and going to get a cup of coffee you shouldn't have to be reminded of that. Or offering equally nice cups with no religion if you plan on continuing with the scripture.. why not both I hope you honestly consider...

Very disappointing visit this morning. First of all, when I received my drink the lid had coffee all over the top and it spilled on me. About my order, I ordered a sugar free mocha toasted marshmallow with almond milk and that is not what I received. There was no mocha in this drink and it tasted off. Coffee grounds all in the bottom of my cup. Plus I asked for a pup cup and they forgot to give it to me. I was waiting to ask for it again but the barista was on the phone and looked annoyed that I was still standing there. I normally love Alexander’s and go often but I probably won’t go back any time soon. The pictures are looking at the bottom of my cup. You can see the coffee grounds. I couldn’t even take one sip without getting grounds in my mouth.

As a boricua, you can imagine my surprise when I found out there was a Puerto Rican cafe right in my backyard. How did I miss this? I thought I was the only Rican here! With imported coffee coming from the homeland and coquí frogs decorated around their menu, I felt right at home. I can’t wait to show my other family members this spot when they come to visit. Not only that, but their coffee and baked goods are delicious. The coffee beats any other shops around, there is no bitter aftertaste. The pastelillos are flaky with the perfect amount of guava. My husband loves their quesitos as well. If you are an iced coffee lover like I am, the Stumphouse Tunnel or S’more, are an absolute must!
