Hungry Howie's Pizza — Restaurant in Walker

I’ve ordered items from this location 3 times and have not have a bad time of it. I will say that the last time I ordered, I got a stuffed Howie bread, which was everything I dreamed it would be ✨, but I was anticipatory 😝 so I went to pick it up early and waited in my car. I saw them place the box in the heating lamp/shelf thingy, but my app never updated. I waited a few minutes and thought hmmm maybe that’s not mine, but the time had passed on the Howie tracker in the app where they said it would be ready so I went in to make my presence known. The box I saw from my car was indeed my order. It wasn’t cold yet, but basically I’m saying that if you’re going for pick up, the app doesn’t update in real time, so I’d just go inside to get it even if it doesn’t say it’s ready, so you can get the freshest pizza!

In the two orders I have pictured here, one was from November where I got the chicken and waffles pizza (no chicken bc I don’t eat meat- so basically waffles pizza 🤪) and it was delicious. I ended up ordering it a second time- if you don’t get the chicken, it’s essentially a dessert pizza which reminded me of the old dessert pizzas at another restaurant which shall not be named in this review, that used to have full dining room service with an epic buffet. If you know, you know. Anyway, I’m sure if you get the actual chicken and waffles pizza, and you like that kind of thing, you’ll love this pizza.

I don’t order often from Hungry Howie’s but honestly every time I do, I’m reminded of the superiority in crust flavoring and I question myself as to why I don’t return more often.

Decent service, good pizza, convenient...

Super disappointed in today’s service. Normally love howies, but today they definitely dropped the ball. First when I ordered they did the whole rush me through when I had questions, fine sometimes people get busy(they certainly weren’t when I got in there). Regardless, I walked in and my order was up-the only one on the heating rack. Gentleman approaches me and asks me if I’m here to pick up for Michelle.. no, I’m Nichole. He shakes his head and apologizes, honest mistake. I too the inside close to $5 on my order because I know inside tips can be slim sometimes. I have three boxes a 2liter a few extra sauces flopping around plus my own handbag, and do my best to walk out to my car without dropping anything. Well of course I drop my soda in the entry way. Nobody bothers to stop and help, or ask me if I’d like a different one ..I get it, I have my food I’m out the door..your job is done. I never complained, so not your problem, right? After a poor experience at other locations a long while back I was tentative trying Hungry Howie's again. But the roommate wanted to try their pizza and the 2 for 6.99 deal seemed good. He got a standard medium peperoni pizza, and I tried the club sandwich. Neither of us were overly impressed with the Pizza feeling the extra most bestest from Little Caesers a better pizza and deal. The Sandwich was just okay. Wasn't a fan of the folded Pizza crust as the bread. It looked good in the pictures, but the reality wasn't as good to me. If you order a sandwich I definitely recommend asking for the lettuce and tomatoes on the side so you can add just before eating. If you get them on the sandwich by time you eat it, they are severely wilted and meh. Also pass on the mayo packets as well because the mayo from here wasn't that good.
