UPDATE: after my fiance went back to pickup the corrected meal, the owner came from the back and had an attitude and rolled his eyes at him and walked off. We've noticed the owner does this quite often when we sit in to eat and others come back and complain about their meal being wrong. He tries to make excuses as to why him and his staff are never wrong and its the customers fault. Needless to say, I dont think we'll be back here for a while sadly.
We've been eating here since moving to walkertown 2 years ago. We've always loved this place but the last few times, I've ordered my usual (baked ziti with no ricotta, no parsley, add meat sauce) they have gotten it wrong. Usually we go in and eat so it's an easy fix. This time we ordered take out so now even though I told them twice on the phone how I wanted it, my fiancee asked them to make sure it was right when he picked it up, and drove it all the way home to find out it's wrong so now we have to drive all the way back to pick up what I hope is correct. It's just frustrating. I understand we all make mistakes but this is the 3rd time in a row it hasn't been cooked as ordered. Not only that, but my fiancee got a Stromboli and got home to start eating it only to find out the dough is not cooked all the way through. . I'm just...
Read moreWe went to this restaurant at lunch time and after being seated we waited 10 minutes for the waitress to even come and take our drink order. Another 10 minutes later we got our drinks. Then we had to wait another 10 minutes for straws and for our waitress to take our food order. After another atleast 30 minutes the food came out and every item was incorrect. The cheese steak was covered in mayo after I specifically stated I had a mayo allergy. The waitress took the item and came back and said there was no mayo on the sub. She was very defensive and said that the cold mayo spread all over the bread was cheese, which it was not cheese. My sons order was completely wrong as well. We will not go back and I recommend that you go anywhere else. Another disturbing element about this experience was the staffs excuse that they said that there was another party there and that they were overwhelmed and didn't have enough help. They kept blaming the party when in reality, they should have been prepared for a lot of seats to be filled at lunch time. I do understand being short handed, but this was not the case on this day. They had plenty of staff, just no...
Read moreOur original server was all over the place incapable of answering simple questions about the menu and repeatedly forgetting to ask someone who could. After 15-20 minutes of waiting as she took orders and got drinks for other tables, we requested a new server who was quiet attentive and took good care of us.
We ordered the Antipasto Salad and the Veggie Stromboli and added Steak.
The salad was very good. The Stromboli they brought was the Steak Stromboli which I did not notice until my wife mentioned it. The Stromboli was ok but nothung special. The filling was under seasoned.
Ordered two Cannoli to go which were ok but the middle of both were empty. Whoever filled them needs to be shown how to do it right.
Our bill was $48 plus a $10 tip so $58 for what we had plus two glasses of wine and two teas is way too much.
The first silverware roll I got had some red stuff on it . The staff is in serious need of proper training.
We have heard good things about Elizabeth's for a long time so we decided to give it a try even though it only got 3.9 stars on Google Maps. Should have stuck to my standard of nothing less than 4.5 stars.
We will not...
