I have to give these poor hardworking folks all the points because this place stays JAM PACKED all the time between the 2 lane drive thru and the inside diners, everybody loves Mickey D's. I have only had a few hiccups in a bad attitude here and a wrong order there, but I figure if I was the age I am now still working at a McD's like when I was 15, and they are BARELY making more than I was then!!??? That is first of all the absolute glaringly obvious problem of how our system does NOT work much less do anything to help those on a lower income get ahead. That's why the more you have the better chance you can have more like getting a car or a bank loan - you basically have to not NEED it to get it, which is the complete backwards way our weird system "capitalizes" on the backs of the poor. Sorry but I believe anyone who has to deal with lines of mothers and screaming toddlers standing in lines like cattle staring at them while they are at the mercy of whomever is making the food in back, so they get stressed, overheated from the harsh hear lamps for the fries and tiny burns on their arms from oil spatters and have to always smell like "special sauce" they deserve and have EARNED more than some schlub in a tie who sits at a desk all day never breaking a sweat and talks all day to clients about his new putter and how his golf game is improving yet he makes 3 X's what the poor girl being driven insane with stress is with her measly minimum wage and then has to find a babysitter so she can leave there and go to her NEXT job because as usual the kid's father was a deadbeat dad and she has to work 2-3 jobs just to afford rent and food and bare bones supplies and can't even afford cable or internet so she watches old reruns recorded on VHS... And since this is supposed to be about the McDonalds, imagine now almost EVERY woman or girl there with some variation of that scenario and yet they still get your fat filled cholesterol bomb in a bag to you with a smile on their face and say thank you and have a nice day. And yet they are giving half the Oacars out each year to people we've never heard of but what the girl behind the register is doing? Now THAT is some serious acting, my friend. Clean restrooms, food is usually always fresh due to high volume of customers, their soda machines never seem to make that nasty "off" mix where it puts too much water bs syrup and tastes nasty, and the inside is pleasant and nice but not to the point where you want to stay for ages so there isn't flocks of people hogging space for free wifi, at least when I've been. For the sheer amount of volume that goes through their in a day, and the freshness and cleanliness and politeness I have to rank them a 5 even though the food is SO...
Read moreWould normally never review a McDonald’s since I rarely go and it’s McDonald’s but had to after a surprisingly good experience.
I have got to say as far as Mc D’s goes, this is by far the best I’ve been to. The Manager an older gentleman named Bill greeted me when I went in and was very professional and pleasant which is very uncommon for fast food. Think of the Chik Filet greeting but actually sincere. The restaurant was very clean and the food was actually fresh and put together well. Food came out fast even though they were a bit busy, and they made sure I had all I needed before I took my food. All of the employees seemed to be happy (at least for being at work) Bill must run a tight ship over there and it shows what good management can do for a fast food restaurant.
Before you question, no I am not a friend of bill or have any relationship before today. I typically don’t even go inside to order food and really dislike fast food restaurants because it’s usually horrible quality and service. It’s just very refreshing to see and thought I’d leave a positive...
Read moreWe had two McCrispy sandwiches at 2:15 PM today from this McDonald's Restaurant in Walkertown, NC. The counter lady, Melissa, was very nice and professional, but the sandwiches subsequently served were terrible and looked nothing like the ad above the counter. Our sandwiches' chicken fillets were severely overcooked, extremely undersized, one of the sandwich buns were almost burnt black, and the the prices were outrageous. A comparison: These sandwiches were 40% more costly than the same sandwich at Chick-fil-a, they were 40% smaller in portion size than the same sandwich at Chick-fil-a, and I've never got an overcooked similar sandwich from Chick-fil-a. In summary, the McCrispy sandwiches here were a rip-off and we certainly will never order them again from McDonald's. This franchise was sloppy in preparation, and is severely overpriced for what you get. The food is a 1-star....
