i went to wendys tonight instead of going through the drive-thru i went inside because i seen how long the line was. i get inside there is only a couple people standing up front that had already ordered their food and was waiting. took the boy up front like 10 mins to actually acknowledge me and take my order. i ordered a salad and a 4 pc chckn nugget kids meal that was it, i had to repeat a couple times about each thing i wanted differently like, no feta cheese on my salad. he clealry had no idea how to hold the feta or what it was? anyway, after he hit tender my total was 11.29 i handed him a $20 and told him i had the 29 cent, he outright didnt even hear me and still handed me my change i told him i clearly had the change and handed him the 29 cent anyway he looked at me blankly like he couldnt do the math i told him he just owed me $1 never even give me the dollar just shut the register and walked away... he had no help and was all over the place and didnt seem to have a clue as to what needed to be done or how to do it.. there was another lady that was still standing up there waiting on her food to be prepared even before i walked inside wendys, which is ridiculous, she was getting very impatient the longer she watched him walk back and forth. there was more people working in the kitchen, some walking around not really doing a whole lot of anything, a few was eating, some on their phone when clearly they could have been helping up front, if not helping then needed to go home whats the point in even being there if youre useless? when my order was done he was trying to hand my food to the other lady that had been waiting i dont see how you can forget that i was the one that ordered the salad? at this point im livid, like you do not need to be in fast food. so i told him it was my order, and that i wanted an extra salad dressing, took him 5 mins to get that. and he still forgot about the dollar he owed me and almost walked out and forgot until i turned around to again remind him and he still acted as if he didnt know what i meant. i had to explain once again what my total was and the change i handed him and what he owed me after finally getting my dollar i was able to leave! i have always had issues with this wendys. but after chances and chances in hopes they get their stuff together i give up. not sure if the employees there just dont care about customer service or if theyre just out right stupid. ive been in customer service for over 10 years and i understand people have their bad days. but it seems "bad days" are an understatement for wendys and not even the managers seem to be on bored. first a bad sanitation score , never getting our food right and having to almost always go back up there to correct it and now this! My god either hire some real good employees that know what theyre doing or close the hell...
Read moreThe only down side to this location is access to it. Whoever designed the parking lot was drunk or something, because with the non-stop traffic on the main road no one can EVER get back out into the road Aside from the one minor inconvenience though, I am REALLY picky about these places, and I have yet to see anything that raises any red flags. The store is bright and cheerful, the usual staff is most always friendly and helpful, and go out of their way to help you if you ask and if they mess your order up if you're dining in they usually give you a little something extra as a "OOPSY!" gift to apologize - it may be just that one manager but still - they actually seem to care about what they are doing. Of course there are ALWAYS going to be one or two teens that have to make sure EVERYBODY knows they would rather be anywhere else. But teenagers do that ANYWHERE they are, don't they? LOL. I seem to get stuck always with one of the two, the girl, since the only thing she could do was chew gum, roll her eyes, and keep pretending like she couldn't understand me, until I reached over and started pressing the keys for her and totally freaked her out and I had to reply "oh I'm sorry it was obvious you were doing everything else but your job and were busy and since I used to work at one of these places when I was your age BELIEVE ME it's MUCH easier now with those big pictures there so I figured I'd help you out and just do it for you so as not to interrupt your important business." I couldn't keep a straight face and she knew I was messing with her and after we laughed and broke the ice in a crazy way she actually perked up and started to engage with people because NOW she had a crazy story to tell... (It was a VERRRRY small town...) so it turned out ok after all. But everyone else is terrific and the food is always great and it's always clean and well maintained. I just took off a star for the occasional apathy of certain employees. I recommend it though given the other offerings in the...
Read morePlaced order at drive thru betwen 6-7pm today, February 8, 2025. Ordered a spicy chicken sandwich, no tomato and no mayo. Got to drive thru and checked food. Sandwich was wrong and ask for it to be corrected. Waited at windiw for 5 mins or so and another sandwich was given to me. Checked it again and still wrong. Gave them my order again. Young lady asked me to pull up as there was a long line. I said sure glad too. After drive thru line was cleared and I had been sitting there 15 minutes or more and still no sandwich. I had to get out of my car, go into the store and once the young guy and girl sae me I knew from their faces, that they had forgotten me. They both were trying not to laugh and walked away never acknowledging me. A woman at the register came over and asked to help. I think she was manger or shift leader. She did get me my sandwich but not once did she apologize. She was very rude and commented as I walked out knowing I was mad and upset, told me to have a nice night. I should have asked names so I could have blasted them online. This is something I never do but the rudeness I just had to let everyone know to be careful and what to expect from the Wendy's in Walkertown, NC. ...
