Anthonys Pizzeria and Deli Wallingford — Restaurant in Wallingford

FINALLY a REAL New Haven pie in Wallingford, and it is real New Haven APIZZA. I can't say who for the sake of anonymnimaty, but the owner worked for one of the best in New Haven for years. Thier Pizza is great. The crust is full on thin with the "Bite" that makes it appiza . Done in an electic oven that he heats up to the needed temperature to get it that way. All their ingredients are very top grade. They have artisnal sandwiches , regular subs, some dinners, and deserts. Plus slices of apizza to go. They have a location in Cheshire on Rt 10 that is the same thing. Please frequent and try these places out. Previous edits removed. There are issues with the Slice app. I've actually had to completely remove the app and then order on their online store to be able to order the correct toppings of my choice on the pizzas. Another issue is that you can't order a large size pizza with the toppings of your choice at all. Only a medium. Something needs to be addressed. It's going to be up to the owners to get ahold of Slice and update their own online application to resolve the issue. Delicious! Ordered chicken parm sandwich on a hard roll and it was so good. The bread you can tell was freshly made it was so good. The sandwich had so much melted cheese, the right amount of sauce and one really large chicken patty. On my way out, grabbed a garlic knot-it was perfectly filled with garlic and oil. Everything hit the spot. The inside was clean, but did feel pretty hot inside like they didn't have AC. I work just down the street and they have become one of the "Go To" lunch options. The quality of their food is great, especially their bread. Its one of those things places over look but not here, you best believe that your artisan tuna sandwich is on some of the best bread around and boy does it make that sandwich pop! Other thing of note is the soup, when they have the Potato Leek get it, if they have the Potato Leek with Bacon GET A LARGE! Chicken Rice Soup is also good, and a regular cold day item worth having.
