Tonight I showed up with three other people to make 3 separate orders. THe 5$ box is back and I wanted to get that. I said can I get a drink? He said it doesn't come with a drink do you still want one and I said "yes" so he charged me. Then my brothers friend went up, and then I went up. As I sat down waiting for the food, I realized that this guy not only gave my brother and his friend bigger cups, but their orders were cheaper. I thought he was gay for them until I went to the counter and confronted the guy about it, being really nice, and saying "I'm sorry but you charged me more than the other two and they didn't have drinks on their receipt" and he said "oh yeah well they got the combos" and I was like.. what?! So... he gave them the combos without even saying they wanted the combos, but said the reason I didn't hear him say they had a combo was because I was talking. I literally was about to slap this asshol, telling him all about how I work two jobs and go to college and don't have the extra money for someone that doesn't care about their job to mess up. I wasn't talking, as I always pay attention when I'm making my order and make eye contact the whole time. I'm really upset because as o was obviously in distress, he was smirking and like laughing. I got my money back because my boyfriend went back up, and this guy couldn't say anything to him, stuttering the whole time. I don't know if this guy is just stupid or sexist but you guys really choose bad people to represent...
Read moreHonestly I was hoping I wouldnt have to come to do a terrible review on Wallingford's popeyes, but here we are. There service is absolutely atrocious and the food tasted old as if it was sitting there for a week straight. I was asked if I actually liked the chicken at popeyes like if I was being judged based on my appearance. Afterwards they forgot 2 things off my order and when I went back, I kindly said "I think you forgot something in my order". Which the drive through lady working the night shift at 6:00PM (11/2/25) thought it was appropriate to responded back with "do you think or do you know" and when I replied "I know" she responded back in a very rude and unprofessional way that made me feel uncomfortable "next time you should say I know instead of I think" which took me by surprise because I've shown nothing but kindness. I felt like she stereotyped based on my appearance and that she considered me illiterate because she wanted me to tell her "I know you forgot stuff in my order" which to me makes no sense, when I was just trying to be kind to her. She then smirked at my face and proceeded to roll her eyes and slam the window infront of my face. I wouldnt recommend coming this popeyes at all especially when reading the other reviews about poor management and poor customer service and nothing changing at all about it save your money and your time and go somewhere else. I wish they would...
Read moreUnsanitary it the only word that comes to describe what I witnessed. The manner and 3 other employees were smoking on the side of the building near the dumpster when I parked. The drive thru was slightly full so I walked inside where 1 employee was on the head set talking orders and packaging food alone. She did not even acknowledge me in the dining room nor the two customers who walked in after me. I stood in line for about 10 mins while one of the employees who came in from his cigarette break walked right to the beeping machine and took out the over cooked chicken.... did not wash hands. The woman behind me asked if I had been helped because she was a delivery driver in a hurry and I told her no I had not been helped. When the manager finished his cigarette he walked up front without washing his hands and asked if he could help me but I directed him to the lady who needed to pick up a delivery. Unfortunately the order hadn't been made and I decided to leave due to the mess of food splattered behind the counter and lack of service from employees everyone should not have been outside at the same time and no one wanted their hands! I will never visit this...
