Ample parking and a welcoming atmosphere, but unfortunately the service left something to be desired. This was my first and likely my last visit. Iāve been making an effort to support local businesses, and while this shop offers a nice variety of coffee, my experience wasnāt as positive as I had hoped.
I ordered a sourdough chocolate chip cookie not the glazed one. When the woman at the counter misheard me, I politely clarified, but she seemed annoyed. As I tried to explain, both she and the gentleman at the bar interrupted with, āTheyāre both sourdough,ā which felt unnecessarily dismissive. This was especially surprising given that I even left a tip.
In addition, when I asked for non-fat milk, no alternatives were offered and I was given regular 2%. While this may not be an issue for everyone, it would have been nice to have options.
Not every customer is a regular, and for first-time guests like myself, those small details make a lasting impression. The shop has potential, but the staffās approach made the experience less inviting than I would...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreKoin has quickly become my favorite coffee shop in the area! Their vanilla bean latte is divine and I love that they use organic milk. Their drinks have been really consistent. Iām never one to finish my drinks but theirs has me wanting more. I love that their coffee has a strong coffee taste vs milk and sugary. Oh and their Decaf? Amazing. Their decaf beans use the Swiss water method vs the chemical process and you can taste the difference. They also have great chai, itās very lightly sweetened but the addition of the vanilla bean syrup makes it really tasty.
I get a 1/2 caf vanilla bean latte with oat milk and it has the perfect amount of caffeine for the caffeine sensitive!
š 5 stars for organic milk š Swiss process decaffeination process š house made syrups š consistency, space, and staff! š their thick ice cubes that donāt melt in two...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI am a coffee snob so my full satisfaction is not easy to get. They offer medium and dark roast for coffee drip and that is great. The medium brew was ok. The chocolate croissant was good (not flaky). The service was mixed. First, know that there are ONLY TWO electric plugs. For a spacious place this is overwhelming too little, particularly when a waitress tells you, you cannot share a table with someone to access the plug. However, the lady serving the coffee was nice. For the other plug, a customer was not really welcoming to offer to share. People, life is tough enough, let's be kind...
