Starbird Chicken — Restaurant in Walnut Creek

Our new favorite place for a quick and delicious meal, especially since their chicken is all Gluten-free! I'm not GF myself, and I can't even tell, it's so good. We've been 4 or 5 times since they opened and the chicken tenders are always, well, tender:) I'm sure there are many words to better do it justice: succulent, moist, crispy outside but not inside? Yes, all that, but I'm no fried chicken aficionado, so let "marvelously delicious" suffice.

Also, their Starbird Sauce is definitely in competition with my previous favorite, Chick-fil-A Sauce, in my mind. I haven't yet decided if the Ginger Mint lemonade is better than their regular lemonade, but both are great. The fries are just fries to me, perfectly good and adequate, but are great when dipped in the Starbird sauce. If you get the 4-tenders box, you can usually make two meals out of it, especially if you just get fries in place of the coleslaw.

There were long lines the first couple times we went, but it seems things have calmed down since then, plus you can order in advance so it's ready when you arrive, if you're really worried. Just don't send your husband or someone to pick it up without the order number or even the name used, as saying "It's the order with the chicken," applies to every...

I am a teenage boy who is a pretty regular customer. My friends and i who are also regulars went to starbird yesterday like any other friday. The only difference was that there was this tall rude man working at the register who was giving us problems. I went up to him and asked for a water cup and he said in a rude tone that you guys were out even though i could very CLEARLY see the big stack of cups behind him. I shrugged this off and didnt think about it and afterwards i told my friends who were waiting outside about what happend. They said the same guy gave them an attitude for no reason! My friend who bought a meal that came with a soda cup allowed me to borrow it, so i decided to get some water as well as some soda because he didnt want it. This tall man who appears to be the manager then stood up and stared my friends and i down for an entire minute before going to the back of the store. Adding on to this experience my sister told me she had experienced the same rudeness from the same guy, i would feel much better buying food from a place where someone didnt think i was trying...

We stopped coming here shortly after they opened because virtually everything they made had mint in it. I'm not allergic. I just can't stand the taste and when I asked the staff if they could take the mint out or leave the mint out I was told no. Scroll forward. We decided we just weren't going to eat there anymore. Certainly not spend money on food. I would choke on.

I wish we had known they had swapped out the menu sooner. Nothing has mint on it or at least nothing that we've tried so far and everything is absolutely delicious! I had a chicken sandwich couple of weekends ago. It was outstanding this weekend. I had their chopped salad which is amazing and I even like the dressing and I'm picky about my dressings. The salad's huge. It's two meals worth at least so it's worth the price and then it turns out they have tater tots and they're tater tots are the best I've ever...
