Tl:dr Food here is good but for the price they do not include chips (which to me is standard at a taqueria) Clean, fast.
Full review----- Was craving enchiladas when I was a t whole foods and decided to try this place.
I ordered on Doordash, which made it super easy. The estimated time was 10-20 minutes and the listed price range was also about $10-20 dollars.
Both are accurate. My food was ready within 15 minutes and cost 17.99( $20 after taxes)
I ordered the 3 enchilada plate and was definitely not disappointed. The serving was large. It came with a little salad which I love cause I like a bit of lettuce atop my enchiladas. They were good!
I got red sauce and also really like that you get to choose the filling for each enchilada. So I was able to try 3 different ones in a single plate order. I got shredded chicken, carnitas, and beef. The beef is cut pieces, not ground.
Young lady at the front was very nice and gave good service in our brief interaction.
They have a salsa bar that is self serve with lots of choices and ice water too.
The only things that bugged me were
A. No complimentary chips on a $20 plate is crazy (sold separately)
B. Idk if it was a typo or they give you a huge serving but $3.50 for a side of sour cream is unhinged. (I totally did...
Read moreHonestly not impressed. We’re in California, there is amazing cheap Mexican food everywhere. This place had the look and feel of good eats for a great price but really did not deliver either. I will mention we were eating dinner and sat outside as it was during Covid.
I had 2x fish tacos and 2x carnitas tacos, with a Michelada to wash it down. The fish was dry yet the breading was moist... The carnitas was honestly decent, nice and crispy with good flavor. Unfortunately the Michelada was horrible, I have had far better from the 7-11 3 packs (those are hard to beat at times), no spices on the rim, little garnish in general, and a bit flat.
Overall it was not a great experience, if you are looking for over-priced Mexican food in suburbia - this may be your spot. If you want the goods...
Read moreDo not order the enchiladas plate to go. They make it different to go then eating there??? There is no enchilada sauce. They dumped two rolled meat filed enchiladas with no sauce and very little cheese on top of and buried the rice. Beans were watery. Took partially eaten entree back to complain and explained that enchiladas are baked in sauce with cheese. The manager said they make it different for to go orders and thats the way it is. I asked for refund and he countered with half of cost due to food being partually consumed. We did eat the quessidilla, but is was very greasy and quacamole was a watery mess. As of this writing were paying for the experience on the porcelain too. Im usually not so critical but this was bad for multiple reasons. 0...
