Pho Bro — Restaurant in Walnut

One of the few places that opened past 8:00PM thankfully. We ended up getting home late from our road trip and I was craving something soupy and hot. We called multiple pho places (six to be exact) only to find Pho Bro to be the only one open.

It was actually already on the late end (close to closing) when I called, but the man on the other end was really nice and told me that he would wait for us if we chose to order.

Boyfriend and I ended ordering: regular steak pho, nem rolls, and a grilled pork rice entree. The nem roll unfortunately was incorrect and they gave us shrimp spring rolls instead. The spring rolls were okay, not a fan of the ice berg lettuce though, but I liked the sauce that it was paired with. The other two entrees was very tasty, perfect level of savoriness with great seasoning. The pork was tender and juicy, wasn't dry at all.

Pick-up was quick and easy, he even gave us a free drink and our food came with a reusable bag!

The only downside was the communication which resulted in the incorrect spring roll order. There was a lot of repeating going (English wasn't his first language) on via phone and there was a mix-up of some sort because it seemed like he didn't quite understand what I was saying. I def recommend going in to order...

First of all, the name of this restaurant is great and it's what intrigued me to come by. The prices here are also a bit more reasonable than other pho spots here in Rowland Heights. Additionally they have the bone-in rib pho here and I'm always down for that! Portions here are good and I feel they give you just enough sprouts and herbs where you don't feel like you waste any if you don't use it all. The broth here is clear with a strong beef flavor. Meat was fall off the bone, but be mindful of a few bone shards here and there. The pho here is not quite as amazing as the ones in Garden Grove, but this is close enough and fulfills that itch without having...

I love Vietnamese pho this place has a special that combines steak, brisket, Tribe, and meatballs on the same boat so I just had to try it out and it was incredibly delicious

I always like to order extra peppers, fresh sliced jalapeño peppers mixed in with the bean sprouts this is a full meal!!!

This whole area is full of great places to try but you can’t beat the price here! The quality is also top notch so you won’t need to worry about anything. The flavor is perfect and makes me crave this stuff 24/7!
