5 Star. Overall. Best large selection of all-natural, no artificial additives, freshly brewed, healthy and non-caffeinated boba tea place in Hacienda Heights, hands down, period. A place I can give my kids boba drinks without the caffeine intake. Conveniently serves fried snacks (popcorn chicken, squid balls, etc.) to go with the drinks.
5 Star. Drinks. Lots of varieties and flavors I don't find elsewhere. My Favorite non-caffeinated drinks are: lavender, peppermint, and butterscotch (with or without milk), replacing the sugar with honey instead, and add boba. I've tried all the non-caffeinated flavors and they're all good. Except one of the red & somewhat sour drink (forgot the name) tastes diluted if you request for easy on the sugar/honey. But it tastes just fine with normal level of sugar. Caffeinated drinks are also good. Monk tea is a popular one.
Their boba has consistently been well made, never had a "bad boba" encounter, and unlike the lower quality bobas you get at Lollicup, 99 ranch market, 85 degrees C bakery, or restaurants that sell boba drinks as a complement to their menu but don't specialize in it.
5 Star. Service. Staff is very accommodating to adjust your drink if you find it less than satisfying.
Other. Located next door to RH BBQ. Great place to grab a drink after BBQ and you'll receive a 20% discount off your drink if you show BBQ receipt (valid as of the time i wrote this review).
I've been a loyal patron since they first opened in Hacienda Heights at a previous location next to a popular Tea Station around 10 years or so ago. Can't believe they recently moved here into a small plaza with FOUR other pre-existing boba shops. Crazy competition. I've tried all the other four. I still like...
Read moreMy bf's favorite boba shop and a must stop whenever we visit his mom, which is about a bi-weekly rotation. He loves their boba milk tea with pudding simply because their boba is fresh, chewy and consistently soft. EVERY. TIME!
I often mix things up with every visit and the following have been on rotation pending my mood: Lychee Oolong with lychee jelly, Cream Top Black Tea, Japanese Matcha, Strawberry Basil Lemonade or Lychee Green/Black Tea with Aiyu Jelly. I adjust about 50% sweetness and it matches my tastes perfectly.
I also really love that they have loose leaf teas available to take home. I love their fruit tisane (caffeine-free) and have tried Heaven Mist, Cranberry Apple and currently, Lady Londonberry. Depending on how often you brew and how much you make, a canister can easily last you a few months.
The only thing I'm not a super fan of is their new location! Parking is super bad here and there's about 6 other boba/tea shops within a 1-mile radius. Plus, traffic on Colima can be a nightmare, but we brave through it all to get our fix.
If you plan on making more than one visit, get a stamp card!...
Read moreOriginally wants to try iron goddes milk tea, but they dont have it. Then ordered the Hojicha milk tea with boba. The cashier was really nice, she told me it would be 5 minutes. As my first time here. But i waited for 30 minutes for 1 drink. The waiting was way too long. And i have baby waiting for me in the car with my other kids. And both my kids was crying cause i was missing for 30 minutes lol. I meant the cashier could tell me this place wont get the drink ready in 5 minutes. If it take a while just kindly let me know, but dont tell me 5 minutes. Thats when i went on yelp and google found out their waiting time will be long for each drink since they fresh brew it.
Good thing the drink that i got was soo soo good. And their boba also incredibly good. The quality of the drink was very good. I love the drink and their boba.
I also got the popcorn chicken for my son, and he likes it no complaint.
This place can be hard to find parking spot on...
