Five Guys — Restaurant in Walpole

I love their food so much. But I’m a bit in shock as to what just happened. I walked in to pickup an online order. I had selected the ‘I’m here’ option on the website, thinking perhaps the food would be ready and waiting, or at least in process of being put together. I was standing at the pickup counter for at least 3 minutes trying to get eye contact or acknowledgement, and nobody came over or asked what I needed (they were all making food, so they were busy, but I thought someone could have at least looked my way to acknowledge I was there…? But nah. Then this older man comes in and walks right up to the pickup counter, behind me, and they came immediately over to HIM (still not looking at me) and the man says 'order for James' and the employees turns to go check for that order, so I was like 'I have an order for kelly too!' And he looks back like 'oh ok’. Didn’t let me know if it was in process or anything. I just had to wait a few more minutes feeling completely ignored, and then they finally gave me my order. What...

I’m surprised to see anything less than 5 star ratings for this specific location. Okay, sure, Five Guys is expensive- but that’s a corporate issue, not a location issue. The crew here is beyond kind, and for a group of generally younger adults, their professionalism is really beyond what I’d expect. The kindness extended to one another is really great to see, and tonight I actually was “that person” who told the manager to keep up whatever it is that he’s doing, because he’s doing it right. Gabriel and staff, you should be proud of yourselves for creating such a great atmosphere at your place of employment. One of the best burger places to go to. But don't be mistaken and compare it to other fast food burgers. Some people argue if those is better than in and out. They are completely different burgers for completely different moods. Here it feels more like the burger you grill at home, which sometimes you may not want and crave a fast food style burger instead.

Something that isn't ordered often there, is their grill cheese which you can order just like a burger for toppings and then add a Patty if you still want the burger experience. Either way, it is one of my favorite items there.
