December 2021: Sorry for super long review
I cannot believe how hideous our experience was here. We honestly don't know how this restaurant can have such wonderful reviews considering how greasy the potatoes were. Plus I felt like we were in the Goldilocks storyline. My potatoes were too hard and burnt. My daughter had mushy undercooked potatoes and my wife had decent potatoes. My creamed chipped beef on toast was unbelievably salty. So salty I had to keep drinking my coffee to remove the film of salt on my tongue. My daughter said her food again was mushy. Her omelet had so much cheese she realized they just cut lumps of cheese instead of shredding the cheese. So all she tasted was cheese. My wife had corned beef hash. She said it was delicious. Nothing even the eggs were cooked perfectly she said. Her meal was hot as well, unlike the experience both my daughter and myself had. I don't know why ours wasn't even warm. I cannot believe my luck, I picked this restaurant or should I say diner. I had high hopes from what I saw online. The reason I'm reviewing this on my first visit is because not only was the food experience depressing but the service was nonexistent. We barely saw our waitress. Stopping only once maybe twice the whole time (including giving us the check). I had to take service into my own hands so to speak and wave down someone. It took forever to get noticed. We were trying the whole time. I gave up when our meal didn't come out hot. We said maybe it's because they were busy. Then when mine meal was like licking a ocean I gave up when no one kept seeing me wave my hands. Even though one person was just standing at the cash register. Afterwards when we were kinda upset at the service we assumed it was because of how young most the waitresses were. But who knows maybe it's just an off day. Maybe they didn't get trained properly. Or maybe they were short staffed because of the "great resignation". Whatever it was we didn't have a chance to have a good meal. What kills me most is this was my suggestion to eat brunch for Sunday. Which we haven't done in awhile. Needless to say I was teased about my poor choice in places to go. I hope that this is a one time thing. We will come again but maybe not during Sunday brunch. For now I'm going to skip going here for a bit. Hope your experience is way better. Good luck. Sorry about no food pictures for this trip. We were so busy with our "experience" we didn't think to take any.
Special notation: My daughter was so negatively impacted by this meal experience she decided to review the same day...
Read moreI came in Sunday morning sat down and said I'd wait for a table to open up. They asked me if I wanted to go to the breakfast bar. I declined, said it was too crowded. They insisted, stated a family was leaving.
After insisting I decided to go to the bar. I have knee surgery scheduled in a few days and I realized quickly there's an elevated platform on the bar that I could not raise my knee up on without being in excruciating pain.
Meanwhile I'm sitting half way in the isle because I can't raise my knee and everyone is trying to get by me bumping into my leg. Not their fault as I'm halfway in the isle but this didn't help my situation at all .
I realized quickly this was not going to work. I saw a single table open up and asked if I could sit there instead.
The waitress stated she's going to need it. To top it off she starts arguing with me staying that people are waiting for tables. No one was waiting when I wanted to wait for a table originally. Now I get bumped to the back of the line?
This place was more interested in serving future customers then it was serving customers already in the establishment. Was I a bit irratiable? Yes, I'm in pain as I'm sitting halfway in the isle getting my bad leg stepped on.
I used to go here every other weekend, however I obliged them they will now have a permanent seat open as I will never...
Read moreWe just went to Bullard’s for the first time today. My husband’s grandmother lives in the area, so we wanted to take her out to breakfast. We had a little trouble finding the place, and when I called the lady who answered the phone was so sweet. When we walked in, she asked if we were the ones who had called and introduced herself. She seated us, made sure our table was clean, and gave my toddler a coloring book (Paw Patrol - his favorite!) and some crayons. The atmosphere is so welcoming!
Now - the food! It was amazing! My son had the pancakes, I ordered the Maui eggs, and my husband had the eggs Benedict. We also ordered a side of the corned beef hash, and I wish I’d ordered it as a whole meal now! Quite possibly the best corned beef hash we’ve ever had! The breakfast potatoes were also fantastic.
I wish Bullard’s was closer, because we would be there every weekend no doubt! Please go check them out if you’re looking for good food at a good price and...
