This was our 1st time eating at CIAO PAZZO. We wanted burgers. Before the change in ownership, this was one of our favorite burger places. We did not get off to a good start. After we were seated, we waited very long before a waiter came to the table, and only after I flagged down the hostess to ask. Once we ordered - water, burgers & onion rings - we got our waters pretty quickly. However, we had another delay before the waiter brought our onion rings. We did not order them as an appetizer. So, we expected to get them with our burgers. Since we did not specify, this could be chalked up to our fault. Well we were very glad that we got the onion rings earlier than we wanted. By the time we got our burgers, we had finished the order of onion rings - despite trying to stretch out eating them. I actually wanted to put a couple on my burger, but gave up waiting. As for the food, the onion rings were great - freshly made with a tempura coating. The burgers were large, but overdone. We had ordered MEDIUM - these were definitely WELL DONE. I cut off the edges of my burger because they were very crispy. Not sure if we will go back. If it wasn’t for the onion rings, I would not have...
Read moreLove the Alesio’s location so gave this a try with family, was excited to try. Then it went a bit downhill. Didn’t have our reservations on hand that we made (didn’t matter in the end, as we were seated quickly). Didn’t honor the happy hour special that was advertised on the placard on our table, and online, which apparently is bar only despite it not saying that on the placard, nor on the online website. Bread was great but I’m surprised it was all garlic cheese bread, I’d think some people might not want cheese. Main course (sausage broccoli rabe penne) tasted a little weird compared to that same dish I’ve gotten at other restaurants. Others I was with either liked their entree or were underwhelmed. No one raved about it. Desserts were plentiful and tasty. Service was good and attentive. Overall, a little disappointed based on my experience with the Alessio’s location many times in the past.
Would probably give it...
Read moreI have been a huge fan of Alessio’s (this family’s first amazing restaurant) for years. Ciao PAZZO is just as exceptional (maybe moreso as they have a liquor license). The restaurant is gorgeous, spacious, cozy, inviting. Joe, the dad, and Joey, his son are running a most amazing establishment. Their menu is extensive. Everything freshly made on the premises. Fabulous food whether it be Italian or American. Seafood is fresh daily and outstanding. Best cheesesteaks EVER. Loaded with prime rib beef. Toppings so generous - cheese of your choice, fried onions, mushrooms…you name it. Rolls are spectacular. No matter what you choose from their extensive menu, you will LOVE it. Friendly, efficient staff. I could go on and on. So happy Ciao PAZZO is up and running. Still, Alessio’s on 611, also can’t be beat. Try both. They never...
