Calvillo Mexican Grill — Restaurant in Warner Robins

So me and my gf decided on mexican for dinner on a sunday and went to our favorite place in town but it was closed. I have been to El J's several times over the years and its been good(not my fave) but a close second. Its been a couple years since ive been there, and since they were open, we stopped by. In the past, i would rate them 5 stars but only 3 for this visit. One star is for the atmosphere. Nice decor and comfy squishy booth seats. Comfortably cool temp so you arent sweating unlike some places. One star for the giant mug of cold Modelo! And most of all another star for our waiter Edgar. He was super professional, fast, and courteous. MINUS one star for the margarita she ordered. She always orders an extra shot in hers because they are usually weak anywhere you go. Well this was STILL weak. And paid over 10 bucks for it. Tasted like syrup. Also the salsa was bland. Not enough cilantro and onion. And finally minus ONE for my food. I ordered the Pechuga de porro(comes with grilled chicken, refried beans, a guacamole salad and rice). The chicken was small, rice was dry, beans were runny and flavorless and the cheese was too salty. ...

I gave a good review today, with one exception. Today, after church, my daughter and I went for a meal. The chips and salsa are good, salsa is not the best, but good, I ordered a #7 combination which is an enchilada, a chille relleno, with beans and rice. I have eaten at this restaurant many times and never have noticed any major problems. Today was different. The beef enchilada, was good; however, the chillie relleno not only did not have the appearance of a chili relleno, it barely had any resemblence to a chili relleno. It came in a separate plate with the cheese still bublling in a plate. There was something very small which was flat into the cheese, I assume it was part of a pepper. There were also a very small amount of onion in this flat dish that was supposed to be a chili relleno. I was totally amazed that they served it as a chili relleno to a customer. I did not attempt to eat it. It looked as if a small piece of green pepper with a few onion pieces has been zapped into a microwave and overcooked until the edges were stuck to the rim of the dish. Horrible experience! The girl who sat us down didnt even acknowledge us, looked like she was miserable being at work, we assumed we were suppose to follow her then she threw the menus on the table and walked away without even saying anything. Oh but the worse part was we sat down and i stepped in vomit that was under the table, and not just a little, a lot of vomit! I got it all over my shoe and one employee that was nearby brought me a bunch of napkins like she knew there was vomit there and just didnt have a chance to clean it yet or something. I had to go and clean my shoe off in the bathroom which was very unpleasant to say the least. I spoke with the manager and let him know how unfriendly and unprofessional the girl was that seated us who happened to be listening nearby and the manager had nothing really to say but a quick "sorry" that was it.
