Yesterday at 3:43pm I decided to go to Popeyes. I ordered a three piece dark, spicy meal. When I pulled forward the lady said they would not be ready for 15mins and asked if I wanted to wait. I said yes. 30 mins later she hands me my food and I say thank you. I leave. I tried the chicken and realized it was not spicy. I returned to the establishment where I informed them the chicken wasn’t spicy. The manager (on duty, off duty I’m still unsure) stated they were spicy. He said he personally made 16 spicy chicken. The cashier looked at me and I told her “I promise it’s not spicy maam I’m sorry” The cook said she doesn’t do spicy food at all but was willing to try one of the spicy chickens. She agreed it was not spicy. After 7-8mins of back and forth between the manager and the employees the cook said she was going to make “new” spicy chicken. The manager was aware that I was one having this issue and never acknowledged nor apologized to me about his mistake. The lady who helped me in the drive thru apologized for my wait and said she would give me extra chicken. I said thank you. Now, during this time while I was waiting for the chicken to be ready I did not say a word to anyone. All I could do was observe what was going on in the kitchen. The lady training at the front register clearly does not like the Latina women. It appeared she had a lot of attitude with them over how many chicken sandwiches she needed. It was also a red flag watching her handle cash with her hands and then not donning gloves while handling food. I waited inside the establishment for an additional 30mins for my chicken to be ready. (not an exaggeration please check the cameras) The entire time I didn’t say a word to anyone. No complaining nothing. Obviously, I was frustrated but I understand that this location has not been open long and they are still getting their bearings but when the trainee cashier started taking a new customers order and filling it with the new spicy chicken I rightfully stood up for myself and informed her that I had been waiting quite some time for a few pieces of chicken. Which she quickly responded “I’ll get to you.” I stood there and didn’t say a word. The customer whose food she was filling asked the lady to stop preparing her food and work on my order. I told the other customer thank you. The lady than gave me the chicken. When I explained to the cashier that the driver thru lady said she was going to accommodate me with a couple extra chickens for my wait the dine in cashier said “idk what to tell you. this is it.” She also never apologized about the wait & for some reason had an attitude with me even though I didn’t do anything but ask for the food I ordered. I left without saying a word. Now, the cashier didn’t know that I knew the other ladies in line and apparently after I left the employee had some less than positive things to say about me. I’m sure there are cameras w/audio please feel free to go back March 13 @3:45pm on until 5pm yesterday and witness exactly what I said happen happen. I understand working in customer service can be incredibly hard and stressful but you still have to effectively communicate with all of your team members including the manager who appears to be very lackadaisical and careless.

Read moreUnfortunately not a good experience. Having worked in the fast food industry, I remember the demand and stress of the expectations for little compensation with rude customers and bosses. We used the mobile app to place a big family order at 9:05 pm We expect it to take time because of this. We arrive 20 mins. after order is placed. Inside is closed. Use drive thru, the lady asks us to wait on speaker. She asked nicely/professionaly, of course we obliged. After about 15 no one is answering. We pull up to the drive thru window and she answers kindly. We let her know about our mobile order. She asks for assistance from a blonde lady to get the order. The blonde lady takes over and says she will be right back. A menu items is out, we swap for something else. The pull us up to wait for our order after a few more minutes. We sit for a while, about another 15-20 minutes. During this time we notice a heated discussion between a head manager or corporate man with two employees. The blonde lady and another employee we hadn't seen. This goes on. We start to wonder if they have forgotten us. After a few more minutes, the first lady brings us out our food and profusely apologizes for the delay and asks us to check our bag. We do and half of our order is missing. She kindly insists on getting us the rest of the order and we thank her immensely for helping us. She comes back after about 10 more minutes with the rest and a substitute for another item that was out. We thanked her because she was handling a big order on her own. Her name is Tomeika and she was the only amazing thing about our experience. She was kind, helpful, patient and listened to us when it should have been one of the managers handling the issue not her. It was a big order with multiple complications, they left on an employee who surely was not being compensated enough for this problem. We left about 10:15, almost an hour later with no order ahead of us... Our experience wasn't good but Tomeika was a great employee who we very much appreciated. We hope we did our best convey our patience and thankfulness for...
Read moreMy experience here was not good at all. I brought a five piece meal with two sides and a biscuit. I also decided to purchase two additional biscuits as my daughter likes them even more so than the chicken. For the substitution of one dark meat for another, they charge an up grade. Which doesn't make sense to me, so I opt for white meat, since both will cost me the same.
The biscuits looked dry, hard and cracked so I told the cashier that I wanted fresh biscuits and was willing to wait. I didn't know how long they were sitting under the warming lamp and I was not willing to chance purchasing hard biscuits. The cashier told me that they always looked like that after coming out of the oven. I insisted on waiting for a fresh batch.
The manager came over to assist the cashier with my order. The cashier told the manager that I wanted to wait for a new batch but the manager ignored her saying that she was taking it from the second tray. After she made my order, I took it and went to the back of the restaurant to make sure that I had everything. The manager shorted me my two additional biscuits. So I went back up front to ask for them. At that time a tray of fresh biscuits were being put out. I told manager I wanted those biscuits instead. After arguing with me for what seemed like forever, she finally switch them out. Instead of throwing them away, she took the old biscuits from out of my box, that I had taken to the back of the restaurant to inspect and put them back under the warming lamp to be resold to the next customer.
Although I didn't do anything to the biscuits, I did reach over them pushing it aside looking for my additional biscuits. The idea that the manager would resell those same old biscuits, that I was reaching over to the next customer is unsanitary. Will not be going back. To nasty and...
