Called in a take out order and was told it would take 45 minutes. Showed up shortly after that time, got back home, and noticed our food was cold. They were a little skimpy on the onion tanglers as well. The two ladies behind the counter were very friendly, so I’d assume we’d have a much better experience when dining in if we decide to give it another shot. Although not necessary, my suggestion would be to update the website with latest menu. One of the items we tried to order had been changed for a couple years. Obviously no impact to the reoccurring customers but as a first time customer, the original recipe for the Barney’s burger that used to include a pork shoulder, now a slice of ham, seemed way more interesting than what it is now.

The food is amazing! We started with mac n cheese bites, probably the best i have ever had! Then we had the tenderloin dinner special and the chicken strip dinner. The hey are not open box and fry, the breading has got to be done in house. It was well seasoned and just tasted great. My only complaint was the corn side. Kind of a letdown, just plain corn no seasoning. Compared to the rest of the food, it was surprising. It really shouldn't upset me. There was nothing wrong with it, but when compared to the rest, it just lacked flavor. Despite the corn, the meal was great!

We have lived in The Burg area for over 40 years, I have been going to Old Barney's for just about all of those 40 plus years, and I can say without a doubt that it is the Best it has ever been!! Gordo, is an awesome bartender/manager, the food is always great, and we have had just about everything on the menu!! Every one that works here is friendly and knows how to take care of the customer, We will personally recommend the Pickle O Burger and Any way they do the tenderloin sandwich, grilled or fried.

If you ever want pre-made food from walmart or any other grocery store. Then this is a place for you. Not only is the mac and cheese made from dollar general brand mac and cheese (I work there, i know) the chili Is made from the can of homele's chili. They claim that they made it "home made" I'm am definitely disappointed is the quality of food that was served. I don't think I'll find myself in this establishment again unless I'm bar hopping. Again, if you want decent food. Go to the bbq place across the street. They may not have fries with their burgers. But at least everything is fresh and not made from a can or a box you could easily make yourself at home for a fraction of the cost. The only reason it's not a 1 is because the atmosphere is good and music...

The food here is great (try the tater kegs!) and the service is usually spot on. I gave 4 stars to atmosphere only because it's a bar with televisions, so it can get a little loud if you're wanting to talk, and a lot of locals appreciate this gem, so when you walk in, it can feel a little like trespassing at first, haha, but the staff is fantastic and you won't feel unwelcome. They also don't have a kids' menu, for those wanting to dine with their kids, but they are very accommodating and adjusted their grilled cheese so my youngest would eat it, haha. This is a bar with really good food, so if you're expecting fine dining, you'll be disappointed, but we love the bar food at...
