Sonic Drive-In — Restaurant in Warrensburg

I have had 2 absolutely terrible experiences here, once, I went here and, albeit it was close to closing, I still was spoken to rudely at the speaker. Upon receiving my order, I began eating the food. The burger was cold and reeked of garbage and made me very ill the next 2 days. I didn’t get half of my order, and I got an order of tots; that I didn’t order. Horrible experience. The most recent time I went, I didn’t even order food. A young man with long, tied up hair that was bringing out another customer’s food stopped directly in front of my car, checked his watch, looked up at me, then looked back at his watch and then walked inside after staring at me for a second. Given previous experiences here, I didn’t want to risk one of the employees spitting in my food. I fully believe that this food establishment used to be good. As of recent, it’s just awful employee, nothing but messed up orders, and terrible experiences all around. Coming during the morning seems to be fine, but the night shift, and more specifically the closing shift is beyond “lack luster” and deserves a very stern talking to with how they...

Iconic Sonic. So I'll get to the food, but let me tell you about the ice! Small cylindrical cubes that add to the drink experience. Flavorful and easy to chew after the drink is gone. Of course you want that cherry limeade or ocean water or even the basic Coke to last longer, but on a hot day, relish the ice 🧊. So, back to the food. Sonic has the juiciest hamburgers with pickle onion lettuce & tomatoe. Choose the condiment of your choice (I prefer mustard) and voila, a server brings it to your car. The combos include your choice of tots or fries and back to that fantastic ice covered in the flavor drink you choose. So many flavors, you can even add fresh fruit. For the kiddies, the Wacky Pack comes with a healthy option of applesauce to add to the entre... hamburger, corn dog, grilled cheese etc. and even offer milk. The atmosphere usually includes some vintage rock era music, easy to sing along in the privacy of your own car. PS. Especially great for fall is the footlong coney covered in chili cheese, and order a side of chili cheese...

I ordered ahead on the app and select ASAP. Once I got to Sonic I checked in like normal, my name popped up on the screen and order status was “kitchen”. A few moments later it went to the normal order screen that you see when you first pull up, usually this means my order is on its way out (I had gotten 2 drinks and a medium mozzarella stick). I waited for 20 minutes and still nothing. I watched as other cars came and went with their fresh food. I’m normally pretty patient but I had ordered ahead to be quicker so I was getting frustrated. I pressed the red button and spoke to an employee who asked for my ticket number and hung up without another word. A few moments later a lady came out and game me my items. No one said “I’m sorry about your wait” or anything. My drinks were fine but my food was cold. I was not a please customer. 2 stars because at least my drinks were good and the ice...
