Oh my gosh what a special spot! We stopped for breakfast while in town for a wedding. We arrived around 8:45am on a Sunday. The line was short and there were plenty of tables. We got a cranberry walnut muffin (house special), a chocolate hazelnut croissant, a cheddar and jalapeno scone, and decaf and regular coffees. The coffee was very good - flavorful and super hot. It's self service, and their coffee condiments bar is unusually good. They had the regular half'n'half, skim, whole milk and an array of sweeteners. They also had 3 types of simple syrup (plain, pumpkin, and I think vanilla), honey, and shakers of cinnamon and nutmeg. The pastries were all really delicious! The muffin was huge, tender, and very flavorful. The scone was tasty, and also properly labeled a scone (many places would incorrectly call it a biscuit). The croissant was very full of chocolate hazelnut spread (aka Nutella) and really delicious. Read moreOutstanding first time experience! I've been wanting to try this award winning bakery for some time and was finally able to. The staff was super friendly and welcoming. The selection quite large, offering a variety of savory and sweet treats, all fresh and with beautiful presentation. I bought myself three different pieces and each was extremely fresh, airy soft, and SO delicious! I can honestly easily understand why they're award winners! I'm hoping to go to their other locations and try them out as well, along with a few other treats. The Warrenton one does have a small indoor dining space, some cafe options for a quick meal, and is very close to the downtown area. Small parking is available, but lots of street parking...

We asked if they still made the cake and explained our wedding story, only to learn it’s now been replaced by the peach version. When our kids picked out their treats and we went to check out, we were surprised with a couple of slices of peach moonshine cake—gifted to us with the kindest note.
What a thoughtful gesture! Thank you, Red Truck Bakery, for making our visit so special. We can’t wait to come back again soon. If you’re in the area, do yourself a favor and stop by—this is a bakery...
