Went here for the first time in years with family and family from out of town. We did care for the ordering process as me and three kids who were anxiously excited for milkshakes jumped around in the front of the store while hubby was trying to take orders and I was keeping he kids calm. They seemed busy but they were extremely happy to be there to serve me and my family. Somehow on the commotion I had thought we ordered my son's boneless wings but we had somehow forgotten to circle the selection . They team was very nice and the one woman I believe to be a manager took care of my son's order without hesitation and didn't even make us repay or wait that long. It was great service and an amazing gesture as I was a frazzled tired momma and just wanted happy full bellied kids. Thank you so much for making my night easy we even had leftovers to take home and great memories as well an amazing family picture that the same woman took for us as we were leaving.
Definitely recommend as a great family friendly place Best milkshake !!!! So thick and creamy. Also those shoestring fries were a huge hit. Next time we'll have to try this famous burger every one...
Read moreI have been eating at Foster's since Shawn Foster opened his first location in Manassas in 1997. I was friendly with Shawn and even had a personal relationship outside of the restaurant. We frequented his restaurants to include many Foster's locations and Catfish Lewie's back in the day. So, I'm an old school customer.
Having said that, I am conflicted in writing this review and I don't say this lightly, but I've simply had enough.
I can't speak for all Foster's locations, but the one in Warrenton that I have been taking my family of 6 to for the past 6 years has just gotten out of control. The food is fine, but it is in NO WAY worth $160 (w/ tip) for what you get. Additionally, while there was supposed to be a burger meal deal they DENIED us the discount AND my wife, who is a local educator, was NOT given the discount even after asking for it.
I mean seriously... Come on. I truly hate to complain about a restaurant chain that I have been going to for almost 30 years. While I can afford it, the question becomes, should I? Seriously, there comes a point when enough is enough and tonight is my tipping...
Read moreI hadn't been to Foster's since pre-Covid and am now wondering why the heck I hadn't. I simply ordered the standard 1/2 lb Charburger with Fries and a drink. Admittedly, usually at Burger places like Five Guys, I get the Jr burger as Fries + Burger + a drink or shake is just too much food.
However, at Fosters, I found myself having finished the 1/2 lb Burger and fries before I even realized it. The burger was great tasting like the best burger I had ever cooked outdoors on a charcoal grille. Despite the Charburger being clearly cooked well done (no cooking options to choose from, thus the 'Char' in the name), it was still very flavorful and not dried out. I even forgot to get cheese and other condiments I would usually enjoy a burger with and mostly just settled for ketchup, and yet it was still tasty.
I definitely won't be waiting another 2 years, let alone 2 weeks, to visit again.
The Service was also very friendly and patient with me as I had completely forgotten how to order here (done so by filling out and order sheet, which mostly means circling...
