Downtown Eatery & Spirits — Restaurant in Warsaw

I have lived in this community for 48 years and have eaten and drank here since I was 21 . The staff has always been great and the atmosphere is awesome . The food used to be sooo good but unfortunately it has gone down hill . Tonight we ordered our usual, Kiaser subs and a Cobb Salad ( which has always been the place to get this , used to be the best salad in town ). The subs had hardly any meat or cheese on them and the Cobb Salad, well I'm not quite sure what kind of salad it was but it definitely wasn't a Cobb! Chicken , lettuce and egg are hardly a Cobb salad , I was extremely disappointed when I opened my to go container and didn't see the Cobb Salad that I'm used to getting from here. The Downtown. I find it difficult to choose the correct words to properly describe the flair, pizzazz, and professionalism of this place. Elegant, and yet downscale enough for blue jeans and t-shirt. Business lunches, or a great date night spot. The waitresses, waiters, and bartenders are amazing at their craft! They know how to properly create a key lime pie martini and how to truly ice a glass. If you are a mixed drink person, you will find that they can craft just about anything you can put a finger on. Hats off to the kitchen crew! In the three years that I've been going here I have never had dirty dishes. The food is impeccable and exquisite. You can get anything from a burger and fries to a steak or fish. Always wonderfully cooked, never dry, or burnt. I highly recommend this...

I have been to nearly every place in Warsaw and the Downtown Eatery is the best by far. The food is very good...I always describe the cook as creative and thoughtful. The daily specials are tasty and I do like the Friday Prime Rib. They have a decent variety of beers and the mixed cocktails are very good. I think you will find a good mix of locals and guests. I had a nice conversation with the mayor and with many people from out of town. I would say the wait staff and bartenders are personable and prompt. The place will undergo a remodel in January so I suppose it a good time to go on a cleanse. I would change a few things related to service and bar layout but otherwise its my go-to-location...
